November in the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California) is the ideal time for sea turtle hatchlings to emerge from their nests, and for snorkeling with sea lions and whale sharks. This region is renowned for its year-round diversity of marine life, including whales, dolphins, coastal birds, and a wide variety of fish and invertebrates.

Air Temps: Expect warm days with highs in the 80-90 °F (26-32°C).

Water Temps: Expect warm, inviting waters ranging from 80-85°F (26-30°C). It is a magical time of year for snorkelling due to its excellent visibility. NO WETSUIT REQUIRED!

Snorkel Excursions:

• Sun protection: A hat, sunglasses, and biodegradable sunscreen 

• Comfortable clothing and shoes: Wear layers and a windbreaker to protect against the wind and ocean spray 

• Bathing suit: Wear your bathing suit under your clothes 

• Extra change of clothes: Bring an extra change of clothes 

• Towel: Bring a towel (pre-arranged beach towels at the hotel lobby)

• Camera: A waterproof camera to capture the special moments 

• Personal Items: Bring any medications or personal items you might need for the day 

Please Note: If you are 12 years or younger or over *60 years of age, you are exempt from the marine park fees.

*For guests 60 years of age or older, a copy of your passport is required for the exemption.

Day 1 – November 15 - Arrival & Welcome to the Baja Dinner

• Our driver will pick you up at the Cabo Airport (SJD) and transfer you to the Hotel Catedral in La Paz.

• Check in to the hotel.

• Enjoy a “Welcome to the Baja Dinner” courtesy of Panterra.

Day 2 – November 16 - Espiritu Santo Island Snorkel Adventure

• You will be picked up at the hotel at 8:00 am and transported to the office to be fitted for your snorkel gear (wetsuit optional) and depart from the marina

• Enjoy a full-day snorkelling adventure exploring the crystal-clear waters and marine life of the Espiritu Archipelago. Includes snorkelling with sea lions.

• Non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and beach lunch included

Day 3 – November 17 - Whale Shark Snorkel

• Due to the regulated entry times into the whale shark area, guests will be notified the day before. Timing of this activity is beyond our control.

Day 4 – November 18 - Los Barriles Snorkel and Beach Time

• Breakfast and check out of the hotel

• Depart for Los Barriles (1.5 hour drive)

• Beach snorkel and beach time (2 - 3 hours)

• Lunch stop

• Check into the Los Barriles Hotel for 3:00 pm

Duration: Approximately 4 - 6 hours

Day 5 – November 19 - Sea Turtle Hatchling Release and Cabo Pulmo Snorkel Adventure

• 7:30 am arrival at the beach for the sea turtle hatchling release (1 hour)

• Scenic drive to Cabo Pulmo (approximately 1 hour each way)

• Board pangas for a 3-hour snorkelling adventure in the protected marine park

• Breakfast and lunch stop on the way if desired

Duration: 7 hours

Day 6 – November 20 - Hotel Check-Out and Airport Transfer

• Check out of the hotel

• Private transfer to Los Cabos International Airport (SJD)
