Join Kelly Smith, founder of Yoga For You and the host of the Mindful in Minutes podcast, for a 7-day, 6-night yoga and meditation retreat in beautiful Iceland. The JoyFULL life yoga retreat will help you cultivate and celebrate the joy and meaning you deserve in life. Each day you will join Kelly for a morning asana yoga practice, followed by some well deserved relaxation while taking in the stunning Icelandic scenery, seeing the sights, or maybe going for a mindfulness walk in the beauty that surrounds you. In the late afternoon join Kelly for a dharma talk or workshop on everything from how to cultivate a joyFULL and meaningFULL life, to how to start a home meditation practice and make it stick. Then in the evening unwind and restore with a relaxing yoga nidra or meditation practice after dinner to prepare you for a great night’s rest.
Each day will include a yoga and mindfulness practice, personal time to connect with Kelly, free time to enjoy Iceland, or cultivate your personal practice, and a special activity. This retreat will be everything that you need to start living a JoyFULL life and build your yoga and meditation practice, no matter what level you are at. This retreat will also include special opportunities to see Iceland’s golden circle, and Blue Lagoon.
The retreat will be set at the Héraðsskólinn Hostel in Laugarvatn. Héraðsskólinn was derived from the school that was operated from 1928-1995 in this beautiful building. The culture and the famous history of the school is visible throughout the main building for guests to enjoy.
Located in the heart of Iceland's most popular destination - The Golden Circle, the village of Laugarvatn sits on the shore of a charming lake by the same name. 60 minutes from Reykjavik capital and 90 minutes from Keflavik International Airport, the town is an intersection of natural beauty and historical importance.
It has many natural wonders close by such as the Northern lights, geothermal baths, hiking, fishing, river rafting – just name it, you’ll find it here.
Kelly Smith is an E-RYT-500, YACEP, founder of Yoga For You and the Yoga For You teaching method and is the host of the mindful in minutes podcast.
Kelly's method of teaching, the Yoga For You Method, believes teachers should meet students each day wherever they are at in their journey and celebrate the differences in each student. Kelly started with a small, modest studio in the rural midwest and has since expanded to hundreds of students located all throughout the US, Canada, and the UK. Kelly has been teaching for over 6 years and has taught over 4,000 classes and 2,000 private sessions.
Most recently, Kelly has expanded her mission to make yoga possible for everybody, and has started training, mentoring, and coaching new instructors that are beginning to build their yoga business and help their students thrive. Kelly believes that yoga is a deeply personal practice. There is not a one-size fits all approach to yoga, mindfulness, and movement. Her goal is not to change you, as she believes "everything you need is already inside of you, you just need to let it shine".
A $500 USD Non Refundable deposit will secure your spot on the retreat or you may choose to pay in full. The remaining balance is due June 30, 2018 (A reminder will be sent). Failure to make payment by June 30, 2018 will forfeit your spot on the retreat.
