Enjoy an extra night in Tokyo Monday after the marathon before venturing off to Hakone on Tuesday, Kyoto for Wednesday and an option to continue to Hiroshima on Saturday. This trip is a combination of culture, history, art, and onsen relaxation.
Welcome to Tokyo! After arriving in Tokyo, make your own way to the hotel for 3pm check-in. Opt to meet your FIT guides at the hotel. Approximate visit to expo departs at 5:30pm this evening.

After breakfast, join FIT on a half-day city tour with our local guide as we explore Tokyo! Stops will include Asakusa Shrine, Meiji Shrine, and Tsukiji Fish Market. This afternoon is free for more exploration of Tokyo.
Opt to join FIT this AM with a shakeout run around the Imperial Palace, the finish line of the marathon. This is a great way to get a feel for race day finish operations and shake out the nerves on a casual jog around the palace. Spend the rest of the day opting to book a tea tasting, enjoy a sushi cooking class, visit Tokyo Tower, GoKarts Or opt to kick up your feet and have a full rest day before our pre-race dinner this evening at the hotel.
Our pre-race dinner is conveniently catered at the hotel for ease. The hotel does a fabulous job catering to vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and protein eaters.
It's the day you have been waiting a long time for—time to run 26.2 miles through Tokyo! Enjoy the day on the course racing, running, walking, or spectating! This morning we will offer guided departures via public transit with our guides for runners to the race start and a slightly later departure for spectators to our FIT Cheer Zone 1.
Congratulations on your marathon experience! It's time to journey home, or you can opt to continue with FIT on our extension package to see beautiful Hakone & Kyoto with an option to add a half-day tour to Nara or an overnight trip via bullet train to Hiroshima.
