Ride with a crew of like-minded adventurers, experience incredible terrain, and go in the draw to win a stack of prizes, from fresh gear to full-blown international tours. Gear up, rally your mates, and join us for the ultimate Aussie ADV ride tearing around the NSW & Vic High Country!
What a route we have planned! While the BIG BORE is designed with bigger bikes in mind. As mentioned before, all adventure and small bore bikes are welcome! We will be taking in some legendary tracks and trails on this route and iconic locations like Mount Buffalo, Dargo, Goldie Spur and Craig’s Hut to name a few! We also have in store a few tracks that will showcase the High Country to its fullest! Grab your adventure bike, big or small, and ride with mates old and new on moderate, flowing trails perfect for all skill levels with some dirt experience. Ride conditions may vary, but our routes on the Big Bore are designed to accommodate most riders and skill levels. However, this will be a moderate flowing ride suitable for most riders who have ridden some level of dirt before. We will have some tracks that may be rocky and steep, but nothing a stock standard 4×4 couldn’t drive.
(*Conditions of the ride may be unpredictable and vary due to weather, road conditions, and rider ability.) If you want some skills training prior to the event, we can recommend several ADV skills courses and will be looking to work with our ride partners to help you with that too.
Yes, accommodations are included in the price. Twin-share 4-5 star digs are offered in the entry fee. Accommodations will generally be 2-3 to a room with your own bed in a hotel/apartment/2-bedroom apartment setup. There will be one night where there may be up to 3 sharing an apartment due to the location where we will be riding and staying in the Victorian High Country. There are 20x single supplement rooms also available, should you wish to have your own room (additional cost). This year, we have planned for 6x Breakfasts, which is included in your entry fee at most venues (TBA).
There will be two group dinners included in your registration fee, which includes the first night, where we do an overall brief on the upcoming ride, handle any last-minute technical issues with loading your GPS files, and get to meet the crew and guests. By popular demand from our 2025 edition, we will have the now famous carpark dinner party! Food, drinks, tunes and a great vibe to really break the ice and bring everyone together! Also, there will be a final dinner at the end of the ride where we draw the major prizes and all pat each other on the back, share war stories and quite possibly share a few brews. During the ride, there will be group meetings and rider briefings each morning at venues to be announced. Most of these venues will offer dinner at the rider’s own expense. At no dinner will alcohol be included in the registration fee.
It all kicks off at Crowne Plaza Canberra, where you’ll check in, grab your rider pack and get sorted for six days of high-country adventure! This is your chance to meet the crew, swap stories and dial into ride mode.
Once everyone’s in, we’ll roll into the pre-ride briefing. Everything you need to know about the route, daily flow, safety support and what to expect over six awesome days of riding! It’s quick, clear, and gets you ready for what’s coming.
Then it’s time to relax, our welcome dinner brings the whole crew together over a great meal and slick banter. You’ll meet fellow riders, connect with our support team, and hear a few words from our guests who help make this event what it is.
With bikes prepped, bags packed, and the vibe locked in, this night sets the tone for the week ahead — one big ride,2200+ kilometres and the kind of stories that stick with you long after the dust settles.

Crowne Plaza Canberra
We launch the Big Bore Six Day from the Crowne Plaza in Canberra and head straight towards the High Country. The ride south takes us through the rolling plains into Adaminaby before climbing into the alpine edge, where the terrain starts to open up and the adventure really begins.
From Adaminaby we trace the edge of the Talbingo Reservoir and Tumut River before climbing onto the spectacular Tooma Road — a narrow, winding stretch of road high above the river valleys, offering unforgettable views and crisp mountain air. The flow continues with a descent through forest trails and into an awesome, undulating run into Corryong!
Rolling into Corryong, we take a moment to regroup, fill up and begin to tackle the last stretch into Albury through Pine Mountain and the lesser-travelled tracks of Mount Lawson, where the terrain shifts into open flowing roads, It’s a ride that keeps evolving with every kilometre.
We finish the day with a scenic cruise alongside the Mitta Mitta River, chasing the flowing bends and golden light into Albury. After 430km, a well-earned rest, a good meal, and a cold drink cap off a huge first day on the road.
Buffet Breakfast at Crowne Plaza (Included)
Artura Albury

Day two kicks off with a change of pace as we head south-west from Albury, easing into the day with a mix of country roads and forested sections. The ride leads us through the atmospheric Magic Forest, a winding trail system shaded by towering gums and pines! A favourite for good reason.
We roll on into Beechworth, where the famous Beechworth Bakery awaits with a proper feed and coffee stop. Just down the road, we pass the tranquil Chinese Gardens, a nod to the area’s rich gold rush heritage, before pointing our bikes toward Glenrowan, home of the Big Ned Kelly statue and stories of the infamous outlaw.
The trail south leads us through some tight and twisty gravel roads past the site of the Ned Kelly shootout, and then it's back into the dirt. A cracking run through forest country that opens up into scenic backroads as we make our way toward Mansfield. This part of the day blends flow and character, with the High Country unfolding in layers.
We cap off the day with a ride along the Buttercup Trail, a beautifully undulating track that skirts the foothills of Mount Buller. With sweeping bends, dappled light, and wide-open views, it’s the perfect lead-in to our overnight stop at Merrijig, a laid-back alpine town that sets the tone for the mountain stages ahead.

The Pinnacle Sebel, Merrijig

We kick off Day 3 by heading straight for the hills, climbing up and over the spectacular Mount Buller Pass, a winding ascent that sets the tone early. As we crest the range, keep an eye out for the quirky Buller Gnome Tree, a beloved local oddity tucked just off the road, where a group of cheeky gnomes keeps quiet watch over passing riders.
The terrain opens up as we push deeper into the mountains, making our way to the iconic Craig’s Hut. Sitting high above the tree line, this bush-built landmark offers one of the best views in the High Country and a solid moment to soak in where you’ve come from and what’s still to come.
We drop down to the iconic Lake Cobbler, winding through forest and rock until we reach the serene Paradise Falls. It’s a worthy stop before rolling into Whitfield, a laid-back country town perfect for a quick bite or regroup.
From there, it’s on to Goldie Spur! A flowing ridgeline ride with expansive views and that raw, remote energy that defines this part of the world. The afternoon wraps with a climb toward Mount Buffalo, and then it’s all downhill into the alpine town of Bright.
But the day doesn’t end when the bikes are parked. Tonight, it’s all about the now famous carpark party! Bikes lined up, dusty boots, cold drinks, good food and good yarns shared under the stars. No frills, no fuss just a solid end to an epic day in the High Country shared with new mates!
Note: This route is subject to weather conditions and may be adjusted for safety and access.

Tasman Holiday Park, Bright
At Tasman Holiday Park, Bright
Day 4 and the biggest yet. 450+kms sees us leave the comfort of Bright behind as we head toward the towering peaks and rugged beauty of the Victorian High Country. Our morning kicks off with a run through Harrietville, quickly climbing into the mountains along the legendary Dargo High Plains Road — a bucket-list route that threads its way through wild alpine country and into the remote township of Dargo.
Before dropping into Dargo, riders will have the opportunity to take on a breakout ride up the spine of the Blue Rag Range Track — a raw and exposed ridgeline that leads to the famed Blue Rag Trig Point. It’s a short detour, but one that delivers some of the most spectacular views anywhere in Australia. (Experienced riders only, as is very steep and rocky).
After regrouping in Dargo, the ride continues through to Omeo, a classic high-country village, before climbing onto the Benambra-Corryong Road — an expansive, scenic stretch of dirt that winds north through rolling alpine terrain. From here, we break off into a series of lesser-known high-country trails. These tracks are adventure-ready but friendly for all skill levels, linking up remote valleys and forest corridors as we approach the state border.
The final run of the day takes us along the iconic Alpine Way, carving through Kosciuszko National Park as the light fades over the Snowy Mountains. This scenic stretch delivers a truly cinematic finish before we descend into Jindabyne.
With over 450k's covered, we pull up at Rydges Jindabyne, perched on the edge of the lake with sweeping views across the Snowies. With a two-night stay here, it’s time to kick back, rest the legs, and prep for one of the most iconic loop rides of the entire tour on Day 5.
Note: This route is an early start and subject to weather conditions and may be adjusted for safety and access on the day.
At your discretion. Our team will be dining at Rydges Horizons.
Rydges Horizons
After a night at Rydges Jindabyne, Day 5 gives us the rare treat of a loop day! Just a big day out through some of the most remote and rewarding riding in the High Country.
We crack into it early, heading east out of town and covering ground fast as we make our way toward Bombala. The landscape shifts as the road stretches out to rolling hills, farmland, and long flowing sections that let you settle into a rhythm. From Bombala, we head further into the bush, making our way through Delegate and onto the rugged edge of the Snowy River country.
This stretch is raw and remote clinging to hillsides, cutting through deep bush and delivering those moments we crave!
Eventually, we reach McKillops Bridge, a legendary timber crossing suspended over the Snowy River. It's a postcard moment — narrow, exposed, and utterly unforgettable. You can stop here to soak it all in, stretch the legs, and grab a few photos.
Then it’s time to point north again and take on the iconic Barry Way. Carved into the cliffs high above the river, it’s a steady, winding climb that serves up staggering views at every turn. The ride builds and flows all the way back into Jindabyne, rolling in with 376km on the clock and one of the most scenic days of the trip behind us.

The final day of the Big Bore Six Day delivers a fitting send-off! A big, varied ride that links alpine country to coastal ranges and finishes right where we began: Canberra.
We roll out of Jindabyne and head east, cutting across the ranges toward Cobargo. The terrain opens up early, with sweeping views and smooth transitions from the high country to the South Coast hinterland. It’s a gentle start that soon gives way to some of the finest backroad riding in the region.
From Cobargo, we twist our way north on a cracking run through the forests into Moruya. This section is pure flow! Deep green corridors, rolling elevation, and the kind of dirt that just keeps you smiling. It’s a final taste of the unexpected, and a reminder of how much variety this route has delivered over the past six days.
After Moruya, we turn inland and push through toward Captain’s Flat — an awesome stretch that keeps things interesting right to the end. The terrain begins to soften as we near the capital, and the sense of arrival starts to build.
By the time we roll back into Canberra, it’s with 2,200+ kilometres under the tyres, a head full of memories, and that unmistakable feeling of having been part of something big. The Big Bore Six Day finishes where it began and we sign off for 2026 with a feast and prize giving! Unreal!!
