Join us for a weekend in Paso Robles — where rolling hills, sunshine, and seriously good wine meet a laid-back California vibe. We’ll be sipping our way through the region’s acclaimed Rhône-style blends and discovering why Paso has become one of the country’s most exciting (and delicious) wine destinations.
Paso’s diverse microclimates and limestone-rich soils give its wines remarkable depth and character — from lush Grenache and spicy Syrah to bold Mourvèdre and expressive Viognier. Winemakers here embrace the Rhône spirit with California flair, crafting blends that balance richness with freshness. It’s a region where old-world inspiration meets new-world creativity, and every glass tells a story of sun, soil, and a little bit of wild Paso charm.
Our tour will take us to some of the most well-known wineries of the region, the pioneers that put the region on the map, and the lesser-known boutique wineries that are excited to welcome Birch Road Members to their vineyards.

A fixture on downtown Paso's Spring Street since 1947, Farmhouse has been around the block a few times. For decades, the motel was a typical mom-and-pop operation until the previous owners were ready to retire. The couple specifically sought out Nomada Hotel Group to revitalize the historic property for the next generation. Their non-negotiables? Preserve the cottage layout and the beloved sign — which was exactly what Nomada intended to do. It was an easy sell.
From the red tin roofs and white board-and-batten siding to the ranch-style porches and vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, the design celebrates the Farmhouse name and brings a touch of country charm right into the heart of downtown.
Site Wine Co is not a winery you've likely heard of. There's no tasting room. There's no press. You won't find them at Binny's or Total Wine. That's because Site Wine Co is the passion project of veteren winemaker Jeremy Weintraub. He only makes 5 wines, it is limited production, and most of his wines go to his restaurant clients that include 3 Michelin star restaurants like French Laundry, Benu, Providence, Quince... the list goes on.
Jeremy will join us at a private residence for a tasting of his wines exactly the way he prefers to present them: casually and among friends. The perfect way to start our weekend.
Experience the charm of Grace & Rose Downtown Paso Robles Farmhouse Restaurant, where seasonal, locally sourced ingredients transform into comforting dishes. Housed in a 110-year-old farmhouse in downtown Paso Robles, Grace & Rose is a new farm-to-table restaurant from the team behind Paso Robles Wine Merchant.
We will enjoy a 3-course dinner with wine pairings that will be a welcome introduction not only to the wines of Paso Robles but also the local farm cuisine that makes this region so appealing.
Our departure time is 9:30 AM for our first day of wine tasting. Our vans and drivers will be at the Farmhouse Motel, so if you are staying at a different location, we need you to be at the motel lobby by 9:30 AM. Breakfast is recommended prior to departure, because first, there's wine!
We do hope to enjoy much of our day outside so please dress in layers to be comfortable. Items can always be left in the van.

Sensorio is an immersive light show over 15 acres of rolling hills where art, technology, and nature converge that is a must visit in Paso Robles. This year-round show provides an interactive experience of light and spectacle. Food and drink available for purchase.

We will arrive at golden hour, and watch the magic unfold as night falls.
Our final day of tasting will take us further south to the Willow Creek District. Our departure time is 9:30 AM from the Farmhouse Motel. Breakfast prior to our departure is highly recommended!

In between wine tasting, we'll make a stop at Tin City, an evolving industrial makers market filled with small wineries, breweries, and food producers. After a hearty lunch at Etto Pasta Bar, you'll be free to wander the market and stop where you'd like to taste or shop before we load back into the van to continue our tasting adventures.
The Chef's Counter is an intimate dining experience featuring a 16-seat counter where you will enjoy 8 courses and over a dozen paired wines. The wines will range from hidden gems to local and global benchmarks. Our pairing ideas are inspired by the food we make as well as what we’ve experienced traveling the world and working directly with wineries. Each night we discuss the wine’s place of origin, winemaking methods, and more as we taste and compare side by side.
Whether you are heading to the airport or staying an extra night we hope that you will have many great memories of a fantastic weekend as well as a new appreciation for Paso Robles Wines.
Travel Tips
When buying wine during the tour, it can be shipped to Birch Road or you can use packing wraps like these to bring them in your luggage.
We will be in farm country. Attire is casual at all our destinations.
Wear comfortable shoes. Where possible we will tour the vineyards or the production facilities, so good walking shoes are always a good idea.
