Kenya Classic Safari

8 Day Kenya Private Safari by Road
Kenya Classic Safari image

An 8 Day journey touring the best of Kenya

A Kenya safari is a journey into the heart of Africa's wilderness, offering a unique blend of adventure, wildlife encounters, and cultural experiences. Visitors can expect to see the Big Five: lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalos, as well as a variety of other species. The Maasai Mara is particularly famous for its Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest cross the Mara River. Safaris in Kenya are not only about the animals but also about the landscapes, from the rolling plains of the Maasai Mara to the stark beauty of Samburu. The country's national parks and reserves provide a diverse range of experiences, from game drives to exploring private conservancies.

From the open plains of Masai Mara, the privacy of the Soysambu Conservancy located in the Rift Valley, and the swamps of Amboseli, this safari takes in three of the most picturesque regions in Kenya. It also provides the perfect opportunity to spot the Big-5 and to capture some diverse scenery.

This itinerary requires a minimum of two travelers.

The rooms are Masai-influenced in style yet extremely comfortable. The main dining room, where delicious meals are served, has three large domes and three small ones depicting Maasai manyattas (villages). Occasionally an African al fresco barbecue is served by the pool overlooking the Mara plains. Fresh fruit juices and cocktails, wines, spirits or liqueurs are available at the bar until late in the evening. At Serena, the views are stunning. It is on this very terrain, stretching endlessly before the lodge, that the annual migrations take place. Millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle pass through on their way to and from their alternative feeding grounds in Tanzania.
