Day 1 - Arrive Tokyo

Make your way to our hotel in Tachikawa and settle in. Explore the local neighbourhood and begin to immerse yourself in the local culture.

Day 2 - Visit 'Poppy' & 'Tulip'

Visit 'Poppy', the first Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Accredited Centre that offers an intergenerational program with 'Tulip', the adjoining Montessori School.

Day 3 - Travel to Osaka

Experience an important part of Japanese culture - travelling by Bullet and local train to Japan’s second largest city, Osaka. Keep an eye out for beautiful Mount Fuji (Fuji-san) as we speed across Japan.

day 4 - Visit Seikou Udokusha

Seiko Udokusha is an elder care day environment, surrounded by nature. Garden therapy and services that focus on ‘a purpose of life’ are offered.

Day 5 - Visit MoCA

The Montessori Care Association (MoCA) provides accommodation to elders living with dementia. With a small number of residents, care is focused on the needs of each elder who are encouraged to participate in daily activities around the house.
