Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where our driver will greet you and transfer you to Chanya Lodge in Moshi. Settle in, relax, and meet your guides for a trip briefing and gear check before the adventure begins.
After registration at Londorossi Gate, we start trekking through lush rainforest alive with monkeys and birds. Tonight we camp at Mti Mkubwa (“Big Tree”) Camp, surrounded by thick jungle.

The trail leaves the forest and opens into moorland with wide views across ridges and valleys. We gradually climb up to the expansive Shira Plateau, camping at Shira 1.

We cross rolling moorlands, stopping at the Shira Cathedral viewpoint for dramatic panoramas before continuing to Shira 2 Camp, where Kibo Peak dominates the horizon.

A steady climb brings us to the volcanic rock formation of Lava Tower for lunch. We then descend into the lush Barranco Valley, camping beneath towering cliffs and giant groundsels.

We start the day by scaling the Barranco Wall, a fun and scenic climb with rewarding views. The trail continues across ridges and valleys before a final ascent to Karanga Camp.

A steady upward trail leads us to Barafu Camp, perched high on a barren ridge. Here we rest, refuel, and prepare for the midnight push to the summit of Kilimanjaro.

We begin just after midnight, climbing by headlamp to Stella Point and onward to Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft / 5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. After celebrating, we descend to Millennium Camp for a well-earned rest.

A final hike through lush rainforest brings us to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificate. From there, transfer back to Chanya Lodge in Moshi for a hot shower and celebration dinner.
