Join us on a 1-day pilgrimage to Iowa! Our trip will include a tour and Holy Mass at the New Melleray Abbey, including a private audience with one of the Monks! Then we'll take a tour of the Cistercian casket factory. Afterwards we'll head to the Field of Dreams and have time to enjoy this historic site. Then we'll take time to pray and take a quick tour of the Basilica of St Francis Xavier before heading to lunch at Textile brewing Company. We'll finish our trip with a wine tasting at Massbach Ridge Winery!

We'll start our trip with a tour and Holy Mass at the incredible New Melleray Abbey in Peosta, Iowa! Then we'll have a special private audience with one of the Cistercian Monks and hear about a day in the life of a Monk! Then we'll take a quick tour of the Trappist Casket factory where the monks hand make caskets to help support their community.

The Basilica of St. Francis Xavier
Then we'll head to the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier in Dyersville. Built in 1888, this church was raised to the rank of a minor Basilica in 1956- by a proclamation of His Holiness Pope Pius XII in recognition of the architectural attributes of the church and the fervent faith of the congregation. At that time, St. Francis Xavier was the twelfth church in the country to receive such an honor.

We'll enjoy a group wine tasting of their finest wines, paired with delicious snacks, and have time to shop for wine before we depart on our way back to St. Mary Huntley!

We are a Christian mission, run by faithful Catholics. Through the use of our facilities, ministries, and family and community events, we seek to bring all people to the Heart of Jesus Christ. We welcome people of all Christian faiths to come, visit, pray, and encounter the Heart of Jesus Christ. The mission of Cor Jesu pilgrimages is to honor our Lord and to help console the Heart of Jesus by bring pilgrims to pray and worship at holy sites in the U.S. and abroad. 100% of proceeds from our pilgrimages go to fund our other ministries.

My wife and I enjoyed this pilgrimage to Iowa. The stops were well planned and we stayed on time all day. We had a little extra time at the winery which we all enjoyed. The bus driver was polite and courteous. Having perfect weather certainly helped.

We all had a Great time and what a tremendous experience at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows and at the Tomb of Bishop Fulton Sheen. The bus ride was comfortable, the stops where well timed, the food stops were enjoyed by all and the overnight accommodations were comfortable and clean. Traveling on Pilgrimage with Fr Jerome and Libby made lasting memories in our hearts and minds through the private masses, rosary and prayer.

The entire trip was very well planned from the venues and even hotel check in. You were never waiting around. The venues were interesting and informative, Bus ride was very comfortable. Very well planned. Great people and incredible sites.

We had so much fun! Camping was beautiful. There eas plenty of food at the meals served. The pork roast and corn boil Saturday night was the best! The kids loved free snow cones all weekend. The property is absolutely gorgeous and everyone is so kind.

I Had a wonderful experience and the memories will remain with me forever. The arrangements were excellent as was the driver and tour guide and, of course, Fr. Jerome. A very memorable and rewarding religious experience.
