DAY 1: NAIROBI – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

You will be picked up by your driver-guide at the airport or your city hotel in the morning and driven to the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. On the way, you will have a brief stop at the viewpoint to see the Great Rift Valley. On arrival, you will have game drives. Later check-in at your head lodge and have lunch. After lunch and a short rest, you will embark on an afternoon tour of the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park, then back to the lodge (Buraha Zenoni Hotel) in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

The Park is located on the floor of the Rift Valley and considered bird watchers paradise, lake Nakuru national park hosts a huge variety of birds. Also found here is endangered Rothschild giraffe, white and black rhino among other wildlife. Other attractions include baboon cliff, lion hill and makalia water falls.

DAY 2: LAKE NAKURU– MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for Masai Mara arriving at the Mara Olodare Tented Camp for lunch. After lunch and a short rest, you will have an afternoon game drive.

DAY 3: FULL DAY MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Afterwards back to the camp for dinner. After dinner you can relax around a fireplace being entertained with Masai songs or head to your room.

MEAL PLAN - FB (breakfast, lunch & dinner).

The Masai Mara is the most famous reserve due to its large population of wildlife. It is one of the few places where all of the “Big Five’” are found. This park also boasts 470 species of birds and rare animals like roan antelopes and nocturnal bat-eared foxes. You will also see the beautiful lilac-breasted roller which is Kenya’s national bird.

DAY 3: FULL DAY MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Our morning game drive starts soon after breakfast when we again head deep into the wild in search of its thrills and spills. A balloon safari can be arranged for this day. Like the evening game drive, morning drives are very rewarding in terms of wildlife and riveting scenery. You can expect immense multitudes of the Big Five, hippos, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, impalas, and wildebeests. The birds aren’t shy either as the kingfisher, hornbill, secretary bird, and kori bustard are expected to appear.

At noon, we gather under the signature acacia tree in the Mara for a delicious, packed lunch. Afterwards, our game drive continues with an afternoon to evening game drive.

Every turn within the Mara reveals new sets of attractions to admire. If we are not fussing over the wildlife, sunburned Savannah, or bird variety, then we are admiring the scenery.

After the Safari, we will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: MASAI MARA - SERENGETI.

After breakfast, you will depart the camp and drive towards Isebania border where your Tanzanian guide will be waiting to receive you for your next part of the safari towards central Serengeti.

Upon arrival in the Africa’s most sought-after safari park, you will embark on a game drive to explore the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. ‘Serengeti’ comes from the Maasai language meaning ‘endless plains’ and this rightly describes it. With almost 15.000 km2 (6,000 sq. miles), Serengeti National Park is one of the largest safari destinations in Africa.

Serengeti National Park is mainly famed due to the largest concentration of Big 5 game on the continent and the great migration of wildebeests in millions. On your game drive you will be lucky to see all this and more.

Afterwards, drive to your booked accommodation - Kisura Serengeti Tented Camp or simar for dinner and overnight stay.

DRIVING TIME: ISEBANIA TO CENTRAL SERENGETI - APPROX. 4 HRS.

DAY 5: FULL DAY IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.

Early morning picked up from the camp, road transfer to the meeting point for the Serengeti Balloon Safari, after the Hot Air Balloon trip, you will proceed with your full day game drive with picnic lunch till late evening and later on drive back to Kisura Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Commonly seen animals in Serengeti: Giraffe, hippo, buffalo, elephant, zebra, lion, cheetah, hyena, warthog, kudu, leopard, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik, wildebeest etc.

Occasionally seen animals in Serengeti: Caracal, serval, klipspringer, jackal, hartebeest, crocodiles.

Rarely seen animals in Serengeti: Black rhino, wild dog.

DAY 6: SERENGETI - NGORONGORO CRATER

After early morning breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunch, game drive en-route, then descend to the crater for another exciting game drive.

The wondrous Ngorongoro Crater is home to the densest concentration of wild animals in Africa. Within 260 sq. kilometers (100 sq. miles) of varied micro-climates, over 30,000 mammals, half of them rangy wildebeests and well-rounded zebras, together with their many predators.

After the wildlife expedition in the crater floor, drive to your booked accommodation (Eileen's Trees Inn or simar for dinner and overnight stay.

DRIVING TIME: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO - APPROX. 3 HRS. NGORONGORO TO KARATU/MANYARA- APPROX.1HR 30MINS.

Commonly seen animals in Ngorongoro: Elephant, hippo, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, lion, hyena, jackal, vulture, warthog, impala, flamingo, ostrich, waterbuck.

Occasionally seen animals in Ngorongoro: Black rhino, cheetah, dik-dik.

Rarely seen animals Ngorongoro: Leopard, caracal, serval.

DAY 7: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK - ARUSHA.

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive; then drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Pazuri inn or similar.

Tarangire National Park is located in northern Tanzania, just south of Lake Manyara. This is a protected area of colossal baobabs, grassy plains and huge herds of elephants. The park is one of the most underrated of Tanzania’s attractions, receiving just a fraction of the Serengeti’s visitors, which means more space and exclusivity for those who do make it to Tarangire.

DRIVING TIME: KARATU TO TARANGIRE – APPROX. 1 HR 30MINS 

                         TARANGIRE TO ARUSHA - APPROX. 2 HRS

Commonly seen animals in Tarangire: Elephant, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, lion, jackal, vulture, warthog, impala, ostrich, hyena, waterbuck, blue monkey, etc. Occasionally seen animals in Tarangire: Hyena, marabou, caracal, leopard. Rarely seen animals in Tarangire: Cheetah, wild dog.

DAY 8: ARUSHA - ZANZIBAR.

After breakfast, relax at the hotel, having lunch before being transferred to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to Zanzibar where another driver will be waiting for you to transfer to your Stone Town Hotel (Mizingani Seafront Hotel or similar), check in, welcome drink and relax or have leisure walks in the narrow streets of Stone Town ending with Forodhani Market to taste local food at own cost. Dinner and overnight stay on bed & breakfast basis. MEAL PLAN - BB (bed & breakfast basis).

DRIVING TIME: PAZURI INN TO ARUSHA AIRPORT(ARK) - APPOX. 20 MINS 

                         ARUSHA – KILIMJARO AIRPORT - APPROX. 1HR 

                         ZANZIBAR AIRPORT TO MIZINGANI - APPROX. 15MINS.

DAY 9: SAFARI BLUE. 

After breakfast, picked up by our guide and transferred to Fumba Village for your full day sea adventure in the middle of nowhere (Safari Blue ), here you will do snorkeling and sunbathing and if you a lucky will see dolphins.

After the above tour, transfer back to your booked hotel (Mizingani Seafront Hotel or similar) for an overnight stay.

DRIVING TIME: STONE TOWN TO FUMBA- APPROX. 45 MINS.

DAY 10: CITY TOUR (STONE TOWN TOUR) & SPICE TOUR. After breakfast, picked up by our guide for City Tour (stone town tour), Sultan Palace, House of Wonders, Old Slave market and other interesting Historical sites are among the topic to be seen and visited in this guided Tour.

After the City tour, we shall drive to the spice farm and have lunch in one of local houses and enjoy the really Zanzibari food. Later on, we will proceed to the Spice farm for the Spice Tour, the rare Experience that proves out why Zanzibar is referred as to the Spice Island. After the above tour transfer to your beach hotel (Nungwi Beach Resort by Turaco or similar) for dinner and overnight stay. MEAL PLAN – All inclusive (breakfast, lunch & dinner included).

DAY 11 - 13: FREE & LEISURE DAY.

After breakfast, relax and enjoy your day at your hotel with variety of optional activities like sailing at Snorkeling & dolphin tour at Mnemba , Dolphin tour in Kizimkazi village, Jozani Forest walk to see the rare red colobus monkeys found only in Zanzibar, day trip to other parts of the Islands, day trip to Mafia Island to swim with whale sharks, Sunset Dhow Cruise etc; these activities can be arranged at an additional charge.

Day 14: DEPARTURE.

After breakfast, free & leisure day at your hotel or transfer to stone town for your last shopping before being taken to the airport for your flight back home or next destination.
