We start our day with a full American breakfast. Our first tour will start with George & Martha Washington’s beautiful Mount Vernon estate. Arlington National Cemetery will be our next stop as we witness the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknowns and see JFK’s eternal flame. We will then tour the Smithsonian’s Air & Space Museum & U.S. Holocaust Museum. Our evening will end with a Medieval Times Dinner Show. (B, L, D)

After todays full American breakfast, we will travel southwest to Charlottesville, VA to visit Monticello and get to know Thomas Jefferson, our 3rd President! Lunch at Michie’s Tavern is a treat and a chance to experience dining that recreates 18th-century tavern life.  This afternoon we'll enjoy another unique experience at Carter’s Mountain Orchard for apple picking and a hayride! The majestic views of Charlottesville from the top of the mountain will be a great end to our busy day! This evening we will stop for dinner en route while returning to our hotel. (B, L, D) 

After breakfast, our final day in Washington will begin with tours of the Jefferson, FDR & MLK, Jr Memorials. We will next visit the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum for a fantastic experience viewing exhibits of animals, oceans and gems. Finally, we board our flight back to New Orleans as motor coaches will be waiting to return the group to Edgar Martin school in the evening. (B, L)
