Poland at War Tours invites you to join us in a deep exploration of the history of WWII as it occurred in Poland. During our tours we will explore the occupation of Poland, the Holocaust, and remarkable actions of Polish resistance. The ethos of Poland at War Tours is to honour victims, celebrate heroes, but most importantly never forget. It is hoped that through greater understanding of this history, humanity will stand together and state clearly, “Never Again!”

We spent 2 days with Damien on our personalised WWII Poland At War Tour. The first day he drove us down to Deblin where the Polish Air Force Museum is located, where he had organised for Marcin an english speaking guide to show us around the amazing museum. He also arranged for us to have lunch in the Rector's House restaurant which is part of the Deblin Air Base. The second day Damien gave us a tailored tour around Warsaw. We had asked to see as many of the Aviation Memorials to the Aircrews of the PAF, RAF and SAAF who lost their lives during the air drops to the insurgents during the 1944 Uprising and a tour of the Uprising Museum. This he did with aplomb and along the way he gave us several "free added extras" such as a tour of the Jewish Ghettos and their memorials, the Polish Airmen's monument, the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and much much more. Damien is an amazing guide who posseses a fountain of knowledge and local geographical information. An absolute must for a tour relating to WWII in Poland.

Hey Ian, Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. It was wonderful for me to head out to Deblin and around Warsaw with yourself and Tina. I must give a big thank you to you for bringing to my attention the location of these extremely important memorials that I know are also so important to the Polish people due to the sacrifice of the amazing men and women of the various Allied Airforces toward the Poles, especially during the Warsaw Uprising. I look forward to hopefully seeing you both back in Poland soon. With best regards, Damien

We had a great time during this 10-day through southern Poland. With Damian being a very passionate and knowledgeable tour guide, we visited several commemoration ceremonies and impressive places related to WWII, the Jewish heritage and the Polish history. Due to the great preparation by Damian, we were most welcome everywhere, met great additional expert guides and had a great time overall. Our group was a mixture of people with very different backgrounds, cultures and nationalities leading to some very interesting and inspiring conversations. Highly recommended.

I usually travel on tours about WWII with another company but because they had not organized anything for the 80th anniversary of the Great Escape from Stalag Luft III i decided to try Poland at War tours. The hotels were excellent, with comfy rooms and great food and drinks at reasonable prices. The itinerary exceeded my expectations. The guide and driver, Damien, was very keen to impart his knowledge on the subject of Poland in WWII. The local guides in Krakow, Wroclaw and Auschwitz were also very good, especially Yanina, Anna and Michel.

It was a great trip, our group of six individuals all got on well. Damien, our group leader worked hard to make it a special experience for us all. Each day was different and all were interesting. I came on the trip for four particular days, StalagVIIIB, Auschwitz and the two days at Zagan and they were outstanding days for me.

This was my first solo trip abroad and I was a little anxious. However I didn't need to be. The trip was well organised, very relevant, packed with information from the group leader Damien, and also his excellent guides. The hotels were absolutely lovely, with plenty to choose from for everyone with regards to the breakfasts. We were so lucky to be able to take part in 3 commemorative events on our trip. The other people on the trip, along with Damien, who was knowledgeable, approachable and helpful, made my experience a fantastic one. I would have no hesitation in recommending a Poland at war tour to anyone. I'm going to go on another one.
