The valley is known for its lush landscapes, traditional Berber villages, and picturesque waterfalls. Here's a suggested itinerary for a day hike in the Ourika Valley with a special lunch at a local home.

Starting early in the morning from Marrakech to make the most of your day in the Ourika Valley. The drive to the valley takes around 1-1.5 hours, and along the way, you'll pass through scenic landscapes and traditional Berber villages. 

Once you arrive in the valley, meet your local guide who will accompany you on the hike. The hiking trails in the Ourika Valley cater to various fitness levels, so let your guide know your preferences. The hike will take you through terraced fields, walnut groves, and Berber hamlets. You'll have the opportunity to interact with friendly locals and learn about their way of life.

The highlight of the hike is reaching one of the stunning waterfalls in the Ourika Valley. Set against the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains, the cascading water creates a refreshing and picturesque sight. Take some time to relax here, soak in the natural beauty, and perhaps even dip your feet in the cool mountain water.  

After the hike, your guide will take you to a traditional Berber home for a well-deserved lunch. Berber hospitality is famous, and you'll be warmly welcomed by the family. Enjoy a delicious and authentic meal prepared by your hosts, typically consisting of tagine (a Moroccan stew) or couscous, fresh bread, and seasonal fruits. The experience of sharing a meal with a local family offers a unique glimpse into their culture and way of life.

50% Refund - Up to 48 hours before the trip:

If you cancel your trip within 72 to 48 hours before the scheduled start of the trip, you will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total trip cost. To cancel, please contact us at experiences@afritripmorocco.com and provide your booking details. We will process your cancellation and refund the applicable amount.

No Refunds - Less than 48 hours before the trip:

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any refunds for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start of the trip. This includes no-shows or cancellations made on the day of the trip.

Voucher for Future Bookings - Special Circumstances:

In certain special circumstances, such as unforeseen emergencies or unavoidable circumstances beyond your control, we may consider issuing a voucher for future bookings instead of a refund. This voucher will be valid for a specified period, and you can use it towards a future trip with us.
