Descend to the Ngorongoro Crater for 6 – 8 hours, ascend and drive back to Arusha/Moshi or dropped at the airport to connect flight back home.
Ngorongoro crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. The Crater, together with the Olmoti and Empakaai craters are part of the eastern Rift Valley, whose volcanism dates back to the late Mesozoic/early Tertiary periods and is famous for its geology. It also includes Laetoli and Olduvai Gorge, which contain an important palaeontological record related to human evolution.
On the other side Ngorongoro Crater is a home of Black Mane Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Foxes and Jackals, Hyenas, and good number of herbivores like Buffaloes, Wildebeest, Zebras, Gazelles Eland and Elephant Bulls. This is the park you may see the so called the ‘Big Five’ all together!
