On this 7 KM, 3 hour Moderate tour you'll immerse yourself in nature on the shores of Kenmare Bay. If this is your first taste of the Kerry Way walking trail, you'll be delighted you did it. With your walking boots laced up, you'll leave the traffic behind and enter the tranquility of Kerry's native woodland. Today's trails will lead you right to the water's edge for views that you will only experience on foot. Here you'll find a peace and a connection with unspoiled nature. 


Breathe in Kerry's fresh Atlantic air as you discover breathtaking views of the sparkling Kenmare Bay with mountains sweeping down to its shores. This trail is realatively flat with and can be enjoyed by all ages.


This journey isn't just scenic; it's steeped in history, whispering tales of the past around every bend. Your guide, who is also a professionally qualified Mountain Leader, will share these stories with you and ensure you have an enjoyable exerience.

What Do I Need for this Kerry Way Walk?

Waterproof and comfortable shoes, waterproof jacket & over trousers and small day pack. 


You should also have a hat and when it's cool' pack gloves and extra thin warm layers,


Bring enough water & snacks to keep you fueled for four hours.


We can supply walking poles. You may also wish to bring a personal first aid kit and sunscreen / insect repellent. 

How Long is the Kerry Way Walk?

This walk is 7 km in length and will take 2 - 2.5hrs. The bus journey to and from the trail is 15 mins eack way. This walk is classed as easy-moderate difficulty and relataively flat. We will take a return trip from Kenmare by public transport bus to complete this walk.

Everyone who loves trail walking and being immersed in wild nature.  What’s more, our walks are ideal for couples, groups and single guests. 

Where Do We Meet for this Walk?

We meet for our walk at 11:30 AM at the bus top outside Tom Crean Brewery & Shop, Main Street, Kenmare.


Snack and drinks can be purchased from a number of stores on this street too.
