Our first visit will be to the  Palace of Holyrood House, the official residence of the King in Scotland. Next we will enjoy a guided Old Town walking tour, including St. Giles’ Cathedral and Greyfriars Kirkyard. After lunch we will explore Edinburgh Castle, including the Crown Jewels.

Today we will depart Edinburgh for Falkland, a charming village where we will explore Falkland Palace and the beautiful gardens. Outlander fans will recognize this as it was used as Inverness during the filming of the TV series. We will then continue to St. Andrews, the historic university town visiting, St. Andrews Cathedral ruins, St. Andrews Castle and the Old Course (the home of golf). Next we will go to our accommodations for the evening in the city of Dundee.

This morning the first visit will be Scone Palace and Gardens, where Scottish kings were crowned. The palace is a great visit full of history and beauty. Next we drive to Pitlochry, a picturesque Highland town with stunning Victorian houses, quaint cafes and shops. In the afternoon, we will take one of Scotland's most stunning drives through Royal Deeside toward Braemar. Braemar is a scenic area known for its Highland games and stunning landscapes.

Overnight: Ballater or nearby

This morning we start with a visit to Balmoral Castle, the royal family’s Scottish residence where you will get the chance to explore the stunning grounds. Next you will get the chance to tour Royal Lochnagar Distillery, known for its royal connection and whisky production. Continuing our journey through Royal Deeside we will head South towards Stonehaven. Here you will be given the chance to stroll around one of Scotland’s prettiest Harbor Towns.

This morning starts with a visit to Dunnotar, a stunning castle perched atop a 160 foot rock. Steeped in history and with stunning views over the North Sea, this is as visit not to be missed. After visiting Dunnotar, we continue to Elgin and explore the impressive ruins of Elgin Cathedral, known as the “Lantern of the North.” Next we will head to the Capital of the Highlands “Inverness” where you will be give a city tour and learn all about the turbulent history of the beautiful city.

Today starts with a visit to  Culloden Battlefield, the site of the final Jacobite uprising in 1746. Here you'll learn about the remarkable history of this site and how the outcome changed the Highlands for every. Next we explore the 4,000 year old  Clava Cairns, a Bronze Age burial site and inspiration for Outlander. Your next stop will be Cawdor Castle built in the late 14th century, it is known for its picturesque architecture, including a central tower and fortified walls. Almost as impressive as the Castle, is the stunning grounds where you will enjoy a stroll. We will end the day in Inverness where you will get a chance to enjoy the local shops and pubs.

This morning we depart Inverness and drive along the banks of one of most famous bodies of water in the world, Loch Ness, where you might even spot its most famous resident “Nessie”. We then continue to Fort William, passing Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain. Our next stop is one of the most breathtaking in Scotland,  the scenic Glencoe. Stopping to admire its iconic landscapes, its not all about beauty however, as you will learn about its tragic history, the massacre of Glencoe.

Your final stop will be Stirling Castle, once of Scotland's most important and striking landmarks. Here you'll learn how this castle played a crucial role in the Wars of Independence and the reign of the Stuart family. We will then have a quick stop at the Kelpies before heading to our accommodations for the evening, close to Edinburgh Airport
