Nepal is home to incredible Himalayan landscapes, ancient cultural practices, a vibrant people, and stunning sacred architecture. Join Gopi & Prema in October 2025 for an unforgettable spiritual adventure to Nepal. We will visit one of the world's highest temples, Muktinath, traverse the colorful streets of Kathmandu, explore the ancient city of Bhaktapur, and immerse in one of the last habitats of the endangered rhino and Bengal tiger in Chitwan National Park.
Gopi and Prema have meticulously crafted an extraordinary itinerary that blends hiking, visits to ancient temples, cultural experiences, encounters with wildlife and nature, all interwoven with deep spiritual insight. The world has much to teach us; each culture offers an adventure into the unknown—if we are open to receive. I invite you to open your heart to grace and to a wisdom beyond your own limitations by taking the next step and signing up for this transformative retreat.
Gopi has been leading retreats to India for over 20 years. Her intuitive ability to tune into each individual's needs, create a safe space, and share her wisdom, provides participants with a profound flow experience—an opportunity for true transformation.
Prema has co-led retreats with Gopi for the past few years. Fluent in the language and deeply familiar with the culture, Prema is equipped to navigate any challenges that may arise. His profound spirituality enriches the retreat as he shares insights into the history, philosophy, and culture, drawn from his extensive time living and studying in India. This offers participants a clearer lens to experience the sacred places we visit.
Throughout the retreat, Gopi will guide daily yoga and meditation practices, while both Gopi and Prema will bring the philosophy of yoga to life as it connects to the places we journey together.
Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and is the largest city in the country. It's located in a high valley where two rivers meet and is surrounded by the Himalaya Mountains. Kathmandu is known for its culture and has many attractions, including historic sites, religious sites, and gardens. Here we will visit the medieval squares of Kathmandu Durbar, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpura, ancient temples such as Changu Narayana showcasing traditional Nepalese architecture as well as some famous Buddhist stupas. We will shop for traditional arts and crafts in the incredible Thamel market and try a variety of local cuisine.
From Kathmandu we will fly to Pokhara. Pokhara is a city in Nepal's western region and the country's tourism capital. It's known for its natural beauty, including lakes, mountains, and rivers, as well as its cultural richness and many recreational activities. It is the gateway to the famous Annapurna circuit hike as well as our destination Muktinath (3800 m), arguably the world's highest temple, and one that is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. This segment of our trip will involve a stunningly beautiful but strenuous 8 hour hike to Muktinath (with the option of taking a car instead).
From Pokhara we take a minibus to Chitwan. Chitwan National Park (CNP) is Nepal's first national park, established in 1973 and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. It's located in the subtropical southern Terai region of the country, on the Indian border, and covers 93,200 hectares. Situated in a river valley basin and characterized by steep cliffs on the south-facing slopes and a mosaic of riverine forest and grasslands along the river banks, this natural landscape is the habitat of the famed One-horned Rhinos and Bengal Tigers. We will be able to take guided safaris out into the park to try and glimpse these majestic creatures in the wild.
On October 15th morning we will return to Kathmandu by car to catch our flights home.
