REPRESENT American Football in a rare and special international game vs. the National 19U Team of Italy! Beginning March 29, 2025 come together as one team and fanbase while touring from incredible Rome to stunning Lake Como with a mid-week stay in the famed Tuscany region. The tour week culminates on April 5, 2025 with an exhilarating once-in-a-lifetime contest as your AFW ELITE TEAM takes on Italy's best in Milan's Vigorelli Stadium.
Valuable touring takes place daily after morning practices as travelers experience the very best that historically rich and culturally fascinating Italy has to offer - the Roman Coliseum, Vatican City, Florence, Cinque Terra, Milan and much more including an excursion to Lugano, Switzerland.

The AFW ELITE TEAM will form on a first-to-register bases. We are seeking student-athletes who will represent with class and football-playing expertise. Players and families are encouraged to immediately give serious thought to this unique growth opportunity and tremendously enjoyable tour and register as soon as possible. Invitations are sent out selectively and increasingly until roster positions are filled.
We take approximately 30-35 football players and no more than two-deep at a position grouping. This guarantees extensive playing time in this special international game.
Players are eligible for the team if on January 1, 2025 they are 19 years of age or younger. HS seniors, some college freshmen and mature HS juniors are eligible for this USA Select Team.
Some student-athletes (S-As) will be on their spring break the week of the tour, however typically being most players may miss school one week - especially spring of their senior year - to benefit from this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent the USA in international competition and gain all the educational benefits international travel uniquely provides.

Though some players travel on their own, every AFW ELITE TEAM tour has immediate and extended family members of players touring with the team. Typically in total family numbers exceed student-athletes. Family members are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to explore fascinating Italy, experience la vita dolce and wrap up the full and fascinating week cheering on your son, grandson, nephew, or favorite player as he represents the USA in international competition.
It is suggested that players be registered to their own account with his email address. This helps in communication and setting up the 'Contribution Page' fundraising feature if of interest.
If family members are traveling it is suggested they be registered to their own account with a parent email. Note, the same payment method (bank account, credit card, etc.) can be utilized for multiple accounts.
First, create the student-athlete account and complete deposit.
Then create another account for family travelers. Multiple travel "participants" can be listed in that account. All students including sibling pay base rate. For all adult travelers there is a supplement.

The safety of our travelers is a paramount priority. AFW is committed to monitoring all situations and conducted with the up-to-date safety protocols. AFW ELITE TEAM travels with a USA-certified athletic trainer.
After registration players will be able to fundraise using our streamlined system with contributions going directly to their tour account. Create your 'Contribution Page' and forward to relatives, supporters and family friends as well as posting to your social media. Past AFW players have raised thousands of dollars in donations and some, with determined effort, have fundraised the remaining tour cost.

Players receive and retain a personalized, commemorative AFW ELITE TEAM game jersey, team travel apparel and athletic practice cloth while utilizing their school's and/or personal hard football equipment.
This international game is permissible and does not adversely affect a player's college eligibility. This entire experience enhances a student-athlete's ability to be ready for the game at the collegiate level.
If your position is full or the tour does not take place (determined by early Dec) registrants will receive a full refund. Should the AFW ELITE TEAM form (as has consistently taken place in the past) and the tour proceed, funds on account become non-refundable in set amounts at determined dates. Travelers should be in Rome or arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport the morning of Sunday, March 30 or coordinate with AFW to meet in Rome or at the first hotel stay later arrival day. Family and player can arrive day early and stay at team hotel for a supplemental hotel fee. Note return flight home should be from Milan Malpensa Airport on Sunday, April 6.

All/Each Non-Student Traveler Needs to Choose this $90 Adult Supplemental Fee
A 'Single' room accommodation for the week is an additional $450. Note, one parent traveling with a student-athlete can (and should) room with their son to gain benefit of double occupancy rate savings.
Have your passport, football gear and luggage ready as you head to the airport in NY, Chicago. Dallas, San Diego or LA to meet your AFW tour rep/coach OR fly with family from your local airport meeting in Rome. On your overnight flight enjoy meals and some entertainment but try and get as much sleep as possible. After a short night, we 'hit the ground running' and tour 'The Eternal City' of Rome!
