About this trip

All About Clay! This adventure in ceramics will check all those creative boxes! Students will design a mosaic tile to take home that day. Choosing from thousands of colorful tiles, beads, trinkets and treasures they will assemble them on the 8x8 wall piece. Students are encouraged to bring old jewelry, or a broken tea cup, Grandma's button or that old 4-H pin to add special memories.  While they are working on the mosaics, students will take turns at The Potter's wheel and throw a bowl with the guidance of Brenda. The experience is like no other! Once their bowl is thrown it is ready to paint at the underglaze table. Students paint colors and designs unique to each creative heart.  At the end of the workshop, bowls will be transported by Brenda to her home kiln for firing. They will return as stoneware that is dishwasher, oven, microwave and food safe. You won't want to miss this creative adventure in ceramics!

Class Begins at 1 pm and ends at 4 pm
