The sample itinerary outlines a 4-day package, but guests can easily opt for 2 or 3 day packages.

Mix & Match: Choose your adventures

The beauty of our packages lies in their flexibility. Guests can opt for educational forrays and scenic drives or challenging climbs to nearby summits.

From mild to wild, guests can select from the following guided adventures each day during their trip:

Mellow activity options

* Guided walks with our naturalist guides

 Learn about the flora and fauna of the area, the geological history, and more as we leisurely stroll through the boreal forest.

* Cultural interpretation and site visits

 Interested in learning more about Alaska native cultures and perspectives? We can easily incorporate a cultural visit and educational discussion.

* Farm visits

 From musk ox to peonies and giant vegetables, our area is an agricultural hub for the state of Alaska. Take a tour of one or many local farms.

* Downtown Palmer historic walking tour

 The Matanuska Colony Project comes to life during this educational walkabout.

* Makers classes

 Learn how to make a salve using items we harvest from the boreal forest or print a silk scarf using natural dying techniques. You'll craft a handmade souvenir to keep for yourself or give to a loved one back home.

* Guided bike tour

Take a scenic ride along Eklutna Lake or downtown Palmer. We'll stop for photos, water breaks, and snacks along the way.

* Brewery tour

 Prefer a taste of local life? We'll visit up to three local breweries, a pint or flight included at each stop.

Moderate activity options

Tackle local landmark, The Butte, and learn about the glaciology of the area along the way. Total elevation gain, 800 feet. Total hiking distance is 3 miles round trip.

Revel Treks and Tours
Revel started as an idea that community, education, and connection to place are critical for both visitors and locals. As a small business we’re using tourism to support our community in big ways. In 2023 Revel connected with over 400 locals through educational events, community hikes, and more. From naturalists to outdoor educators and history buffs, we love sharing what we know and continue to learn about our area. Our wilderness guides have a minimum of 2 years Alaska guiding experience and are trained Wilderness First Responders.
