Nepal has many hidden gems and Ama Yangri Peak is one of the gems. Located in the Helambu region of Sindhupalchowk district, it is one of the isolated and less popular but amazing hiking destinations in the Helambu region. AmaYangri Peak lies at an altitude of 3,771m and is considered to be one of the highest peaks around Kathmandu Valley.
According to the myth, Ama Yangri is considered to be a deity that has turned into the protector of the Helambu region. The AmaYangri peak can be compared to the Poon Hill of the Annapurna region in terms of views of the mountains. The route is filled with diverse forests, birds, and little beautiful villages. This trek is beautiful to experience both in natural and cultural ways.
