Cancellation and Refund Policy

U.S. regulations permit you to cancel your booking within 24 hours for a full refund. However, if you cancel after this 24-hour window, all payments become final, non-refundable, and non-transferable, with no credits issued due to the specific nature of this trip and the non-refundable/non-transferable status of flights. It is strongly recommended that you purchase travel insurance immediately after booking to cover any unforeseen cancellations or accidents. Additionally, it is your responsibility to secure your international flights. Delaying this can lead to higher fares, and Kultured Travels is not liable for any cancellations that may occur as a result, nor will any refunds or credits be provided.

Kultured Travels LLC reserves the right to cancel or postpone a trip due to unforeseen circumstances.

Fees: If payment is not received by the 5th day of the deadline, a $50 late fee will be automatically charged. If you miss two monthly installments, your booking will be canceled automatically, and all prior payments will be forfeited. Remember, it is your responsibility to set payment reminders; Kultured Travels LLC is not responsible for sending these reminders.

As a traveler with Kultured Travels, you must comply with all requirements set by countries, airlines, or vendors, including vaccinations and other documentation. No refunds or credits will be given if you fail to obtain the necessary documents, or if there are sudden changes in country/airline requirements that result in your cancellation.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email at contact@kulturedtravels.com. Cancellations cannot be processed online.

I acknowledge and agree to adhere to the cancellation and refund policy of Kultured Travels LLC. I understand that my agreement is relied upon, and neither Kultured Travels LLC nor its affiliates will be obliged to issue a refund beyond 24 hours of booking.

Our journey offers a selection of unique, fee-based adventure excursions on a limited availability basis, reserved on a first-come, first-served approach.

Participants must be at least 16 years old for safety reasons. Fluency in English is required for participation, again for safety reasons. The adventure options have very limited availability and often get booked well in advance. These activities are non-transferable once on board the ship.

HELI-LANDING (Additional Cost) 

From Ultramarine's helicopter decks, you'll be transported via dual-engine helicopters to a specially chosen Arctic site. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore, accompanied by members of the Quark Expeditions team, before being retrieved from the same spot by helicopter. Please note that heli-landings are subject to weather and logistical considerations.

SEA KAYAKING (Extra Cost)

Experience the thrill of kayaking amidst icebergs and glaciers. Our Sea Kayaking program allows for an intimate exploration of the surroundings. Small groups of kayakers will have the opportunity to venture out several times per voyage, offering an alternative to shore landings or Zodiac cruises.

POLAR PLUNGE

Offered once per voyage, this traditional activity invites you to safely jump into the icy Arctic waters under our staff's supervision.

PADDLE EXCURSION

Join us for a one-time paddling experience on our stable, sit-on-top kayaks, ideal for those with little to no kayaking experience. On calm days, groups of passengers will rotate out with our expert guides.

FLIGHTSEEING ON ULTRAMARINE 

The polar landscapes take on an even more extraordinary beauty when viewed from above in one of Ultramarine’s twin-engine helicopters. Enjoy a breathtaking 10-to-15-minute aerial tour of the Arctic included in your voyage. Additional helicopter excursions may be available for purchase on board. All helicopter activities are contingent on weather and logistical factors.
