About this trip

"Whether you are an adventure junkie or looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway, once you arrive you will never want to leave the Watamu Treehouse. Amazing rooms immersed in nature, delicious food that is healthy and catered to the individual, and the friendliest staff that welcomes you like family. I can say this was my first rooftop sunset looking out over a vast jungle and beautiful beach while watching monkeys jump from tree to tree below me. There should not be another location topping Watamu Treehouse on your bucket list."

Watamu combines the relaxation of a tropical beach holiday
with the sense of adventure experienced on wilderness safari. Building has taken place on the small footprint in the forest that was cleared for utility use by the previous owners. No trees were cut down in the process. The unique building style of using local materials to create a direct connection with nature was perfected by Sala Terrena Creative Construction, and it complemented the recycled hand-blown glass from Kitengela Glass.

In 2014 the pool and yoga studio were added, and Treehouse became a year-round boutique hotel and retreat center. In 2017 Treehouse started hosting other teachers’ retreats as a core-business. In 2018, a second yoga room and massage room were added to meet the demand. And so it continues…. .

My experience at the Spark of Light Shamanic Healing Retreat in Tennessee was nothing short of profound. Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Tennessee's landscapes, this retreat offered a perfect blend of spiritual rejuvenation and natural tranquility. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed into a warm and nurturing environment. The schedule was thoughtfully designed, balancing meditation sessions, transformative fire ceremonies, and enriching vegan meals that nourished both body and soul. The hikes through the lush surroundings were invigorating, providing moments of connection with nature that were deeply therapeutic. One of the highlights was the massage session on the side of a mountain in the Shala, where the soothing touch combined with breathtaking views created a truly immersive healing experience. The Cacao ceremony was another standout, guiding us through a journey of introspection and heart-opening connection. Both Jocelyn and the owners from Seven Springs Retreats were knowledgeable and compassionate guides who infused each activity with meaning and intention. Their expertise in shamanic practices added a layer of authenticity and depth to the entire experience, allowing us to explore and heal in ways I had never imagined. I left the Spark of Light Retreat feeling profoundly renewed and inspired. It's a place where healing isn't just a concept but a tangible journey that unfolds with every moment spent in its embrace. Whether you're seeking inner peace, spiritual growth, or simply a reprieve from the hectic pace of life, these retreats that Jocelyn customizes- offers a sanctuary where magic truly happens. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to have participated in this retreat and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone ready to embark on a transformative journey of healing and self-discovery.
