This tour begins with the history of Apartheid from its beginning to modern day Africa. We will explore TABLE MOUNTAIN & ROBBEN ISLAND, CAPE PENINSULA, THE WINELANDS, AQUILA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE, TOWNSHIPS, THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE, THE KHOISAN VILLAGE, V&A WATERFRONT, BO KAAP and so much more. These companies along with many attractions and experiences we will encounter are the fore-runners of progress that has resulted from 27 years of being free from the constraints of Apartheid.

We will visit two Townships communities. LANGA which has become famous for the local Braai culture. LANGA is a township whose Xhosa name means "Sun". It formally opened in 1927. It was developed as a result of South Africa's 1923 urban area act, which was designed to force Africans to move from their homes into segregated locations.
KHAYELITSHA is South Africa's largest township. It is known for its Entrepreneurial spirit and social development projects and it's vibrant culture.

IS THIS TRIP RIGHT FOR YOU?
This active program covers a good amount of ground each day. Expect from three to four hours walking on some touring days. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps and significant slopes. A few early wake-ups are required. For your comfort, several stops will be made along the way including a lunch break. While the majority of the tour will be performed in an air-conditioned motor coach, game drives will be conducted in small safari vehicles that cannot be air-conditioned.
While the majority of South Africa is malaria-free. During this tour, you may come into proximity of wild animals whose actions can be unpredictable. Our tour guides are experienced and knowledgeable however, certain inherent risks are involved which should be considered at your own discretion.
