We are so excited to invite you all to join us on a private island experience. The island feels deserted in all the right ways, with a peaceful atmosphere, lush Belizean foliage, and pristine beaches. In this space, including an over-the-water yoga deck and pavilion, it will allow us all an opportunity to detach from the hustle and bustle of our every day lives and truly let go and appreciate the calm and relaxation in this picturesque destination. 

Sybil and Kim will be leading all students in a variety of yoga styles and classes throughout the stay with a minimum offering of two classes per day on full island days (excluding arrival and departure days).  All yoga mats and props will be provided, or guests can always choose to travel with their personal yoga mats. 

The accommodations on the island consist of single and double occupancy rooms, all recently renovated using reclaimed materials from the island! While the resort is fully sustainable, you won’t even notice you’re staying at an eco-resort.  When you’re not relaxing up in your overwater bungalow or cabana, or enjoying a yoga class, you‘ll have the option to sunbathe on a hammock, swim in the natural saltwater pool, receive an optional seaside massage, grab a snack or an island drink at the onsite bar (included), or enjoy one of many of the complimentary water toys and island bikes at your fingertips to explore the resort.

What’s INCLUDED: 

- Single or Double Occupancy rooms, all with en-suite baths

- All organic, farm integrated, island-to-table meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner AND snacks - all dietary restrictions will be honored

- Access to island toys including floats, paddleboards, and bikes to explore the mile long Island

- Airport transfers from Belize City - which include: a 15 min commuter flight from Belize City to Dangriga airport, followed by a 25 min boat ride to Thatch Caye Resort

- Airfare to/from Belize City Airport

- Optional add-on guest excursion (in addition to included-in-price group snorkel trip) to Xunantunich (stone maiden) & Blue Hole Cave Tube or Swim (added $)

PRICING:

The rooms on the island consist of Overwater Bungalow lodging as well as Oceanfront Cabana lodging.  All rooms will have en-suite baths, air conditioning, and bottled water.

For this retreat, we will be offering the following PER PERSON rates for the stay:

OVERWATER BUNGALOWS (ISLAND LIVING! units extend directly from water/over water with boardwalk pathways to units and unobstructed views and access to water)

Double Occupancy Overwater Bungalows - $3200 PER PERSON 

OCEANFRONT CABANAS (land lodging with beautiful water views, steps from the water, and balconies/porches)

Double Occupancy Oceanfront Cabanas - $2800 PER PERSON 

Single Occupancy Oceanfront Cabanas - $3500 FOR AN INDIVIDUAL

BOOKING:

In order to reserve a room, a NON-REFUNDABLE booking deposit of $900 per person will be required through this website.  If for any reason, this reservation needs to be cancelled, please note that the $900 will not be refunded.

Please note which room you are booking at the time of reservation and take considerations necessary if booking with a desired roommate - Coordinate booking timing OR select one individual to select “2” from the drop-down bar and book the entire room for two people on one reservation . (This will require an $1800 deposit).

if a double booking is is made by a person, Sybil and Kim reserve the right to cancel any such reservation if the OTHER double booking is not received within 1 hour.

The remaining payments will be made according to a preset schedule with reminders sent to all guests by WeTravel on 9/1/24 and 12/1/24. Please be aware that WeTravel will add credit card processing fees to all payments.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If a guest wishes to cancel after 9/1/24, guest will be responsible for first installment.

If a guest wishes to cancel after 12/1/24,  guest will be responsible for first AND second installments.

Please note: In either case of possible cancellation, the initial $900 deposit is NONREFUNDABLE.

If the resort cancels the retreat for any reason, the guests will receive full reimbursement less than the processing fees set by WeTravel.

Kim Culley and Sybil Meyer will not assume responsibility to any losses in airfare or additional travel purchases due to cancellations of any kind.  Please consider booking travel insurance when booking this trip. 

Additionally Kim Culley and Sybil Meyer are not responsible for any loss or damages, or medical treatment, that may result before, during, or after this trip.  All guests will sign liability waivers upon arrival to Thatch Caye at the beginning of the retreat. 

ARRIVING AT THE BELIZE AIRPORT:

Belize International Airport is a small airport that provides excellent signage to help travelers get through customs and transfer to your in-country, pre-arranged flight to Dangriga. At the point of entry, a passport and proof of return or onward ticket are required. When booking your inbound international flight to Belize, please be aware of your landing time. It is recommended that inbound flights arrive to Belize City no later than 3:45 pm, as the last flight to Dangriga departs at 5:00 pm.  For Returning Flights out of Belize City, please do not book any flights before 2:00pm.

TRANSFERRING FROM BELIZE AIPORT TO THATCH CAYE RESORT:

From the Belize Airport, we will have coordinated pre-arranged and INCLUDED breathtaking 15 minute commuter flights down the coast of Belize to the Dangriga Airstrip. 

As you arrive in Dangriga, one of the resort guides will be waiting to pick you up to drive you to the dock at the Pelican for the boat pick up. Enjoy the 25 minute, 9 mile boat ride from Dangriga to the island. The boat ride to and from the island is included with your all-inclusive accommodations.

Departure times will be arranged and will vary based on all coordinating guest flight times that day.
