I have been looking for a yoga x Muay Thai retreat for a while and this could not have been more perfect!! I stayed for 21 days, but it was way too short. Everyone there, the staff, the guests were so welcoming, it was hard not to be emotionally attached when it was time to leave. Thank you Chris, thank you to all the staff, the amazing Muay Thai trainers for this much needed retreat! I couldn’t leave without a souvenir in the form of a tattoo from the handsome Yo! :) Amazing experience, I hope I will be back soon for a longer time, and hope it stays affordable. D - December 2024

Muay Thai Battle Conquer (also known as BC), is a pretty unique place which is well worth the detour. Leave your ego and hang-ups at the gate and embrace a life changing journey that will help you get better physically and mentally.

I opted for the one month wellness package to be able to practice Yoga and Muay Thai during the same period. In addition of the main program, you can also explore the areas, visit temples, landmarks and enjoy the luxurious nature of the region (no need for heavy hiking shoes though, don’t make the same mistake as me😅).

The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, friendly and relaxing. From the fantastic trainers, the caring yoga teachers, our lovely cooks, the hardworking maintenance staff, the helpful admin and cleaning crew to all the inspiring, brilliant and supportive guests that come to BC to reset or improve their skills or wellbeing, you will have no trouble bounding with people there. I guarantee you an absolute blast if you like to socialize, push yourself and you enjoy minimalism.

The community around the camp is extremely hospitable and the location is the antithesis of touristy and crowded places such as Pattaya or Phuket. 

If your priority is to do yoga stay in "Camp one", where all the yoga facilities are located. If you are more into Muay Thai, weightlifting and chilling by the pool after a workout you should probably opt for Camp 2.

The rooms are mostly decent but don’t expect a 5 star-experience. You are here to work on yourself, not to spend a lavish and "farniente" vacation. 😉

Ideally withdraw cash from the airport (if you arrive from Bangkok) because once at BC, cash is king to buy your daily coconut, get your nails done, have an extra massage or get a tattoo from Yo! 

Noi and her family are absolutely lovely and you can count on the trainers and yoga teachers to assist you in whatever you need. This enchanting break will pass faster than you imagine so soak in as much as you can, be focus, don’t give up and try to experience as many activities as you can (jungle trail, lakeside walks, buddha run, cooking classes, temple visits and meditation, etc.).

Special mentions to the nearby coffee shop, the movie nights held in the indoor shala, and the stray puppies / mascots that bring a dose of cuteness on a daily basis. I won’t miss the crushing heat or the mosquitoes though… So don’t forget your sunscreens and your bug repellent spray 😅 

My stay at Battle Conquer was a life-changing experience that allowed me to forge great friendships, while bettering myself. I’m forever grateful and I hope to come back as soon as possible.

Highly recommend. One of the best experiences I’ve had. Everyone was so genuine and kind. I was a first time solo traveler and had my reservations about going so far and doing this but this has opened my world to new adventures. Battle conquer makes you feel part of the community very quickly. Plenty of activities available for those who choose these options. I jumped into everything with joy and excitement. Food fresh each day and smiles served on a plate. I stayed in camp 1. The rooms were very clean and serviced every day. My cleaning lady Ta was adorable, we became friends. I'm back in USA but my heart is still in Petchabun and the camp of love, peace and positive vibes x - Karen P

I would not recommend this place! The rooms are dirty, fouls smell is coming out from the shower. The room has mosquitos and other insects.

We had an awesome family experience. From two 50 year olds to a 14 year old we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  Both the Muay Thai and Yoga trainers went out or their way to help and encourage, and food was plentiful.  The place is remote which helps the dedication to the activities. The pool was a bonus.  We all want to go back.

Stunning scenery, wonderful facilities and amazing people make up the trifecta that is Battle Conquer 'retreat' in Petchabun. Loved my three weeks and left a lot more fit in both body and mind. I stayed in a lovely poolside room in camp 2 next to the gym, massage and cafe. The 3-4 yoga practices a day held in camp 1 alongside the camp kitchen were a gentle 10 minute stroll through corn fields surrounded by gorgeous mountains. There's also a lovely Zsip coffee shop nearby which serves a tasty latte from just after 6am, another great excuse for a nice morning walk before your first activity. So many activities, classes and trips to choose from you can't get bored, and conversations around the breakfast and dinner table with like-minded people from around the world means you'll make friends that you'll never forget. I'll be back!

With no prior knowledge of Muay Thai and little clue what I was getting myself into, I booked a one-month stay here.

Words can't begin to describe what an incredible experience this camp was. I never once felt unsafe or left out; the staff, trainers, and people were incredibly welcoming and brought me up to speed with everything that was happening on day one.

In terms of training, I focused mainly on Muay Thai. In less than two weeks, starting from scratch, I felt like I had a good grasp of the sport's basics. The trainers not only engage with you and your journey but also share a remarkable bond among themselves—it's like being part of a big family, which was amazing to be a part of.

It's very easy to slip into a comfortable routine here—almost tempted to extend my stay!

The food perfectly suits the situation: nothing fancy, but it does the job. Fresh, clean, and simple to fuel you after training, with plenty of fresh fruits, juices, and protein shakes available.

For anyone hesitating about coming here, don't. Go and experience what it has to offer, whether it's for two weeks or six months. The whole team and the community are there to support you and your journey.

I'll definitely be returning and bringing more people with me!

We had a great (but short) time at Battle Camp. Loved the enthusiasm and skill of both the Muay Thai and yoga instructors. Despite the 'wildlife' (I'm a big scaredy cat) I'd go back in a heartbeat. The food was nutritious and plentiful although a bit of variety for those who don't eat chicken would have been appreciated. Overall, it's a must try for anyone who wants to experience the remote and rustic camp and come away with lifetime lasting memories.

Absolutely memorable trip - diverse group of people, all shapes, sizes and fitness levels with training and classes that worked for everyone. All the staff made you feel so welcomed and the trainers made sure that you were both challenged  and supported, no matter what level you were at. Plus they made it fun! Best way to get out of your comfort zone and learn !
Accomodation simple, basic and all that was needed. Although the rooster and I never came to terms on what constituted an acceptable time to wake up!
Food was plentiful and delicious. 
Swimming pool made it easy to cool off and relax plus the massages were the best way to keep your body happy and up to the training.
I can’t wait for the next opportunity to visit.

Battle conquer for me was a great experience all around. In Muay Thai the trainers were all very knowledgeable, friendly, happy and made sure at the end of every session you walked out of the gym drenched in sweat and smiling. When it came to yoga you left the shala feeling stretched, relaxed and peaceful. The staff are also very lovely and always happy to help out or crack a joke with you.
Battle conquer is what you make it and can be sociable with many good trips to see the monk, lakes, mango walk, town drop offs etc or even just socialising with the many great people the camp seems to attract or it can be focused more on the Muay Thai, yoga or even gym side. One on ones are offered for Muay Thai and yoga and are hugely beneficial and Benz is always happy to guide you in the gym. 
Having the variety is good as some days you need to take a rest day as the trainings require recovery time. 
The camp is what you make it and battle conquer have provided the facilities for the individual to make up their own experience. 
The location is awesome being in rural Thailand away from the noise of the city and the accommodation although there could be improvements made is more than adequate. Thank you for the great experience battle conquer 💪

Even though this is a short trip but we have a fantastic time. A healthy wellness camp that we occupy our time well. Feeling healthy to continue pushing with great diet. The food is delicious with protein concentration. Accommodation even better as we have our own room. Very clean and comfy. I went with my 3 sons and we have a great bonding. This will be in our list for the next visit. Keep up the good work.

I had really good time. I love this place. It is my second stay in 2 years and every time I visit BC I see how it grows....This year there is even swimming pool which is awesome😍 And for me - the best part is still muay thai classes. I really love all instructors, they all try to teach you muay thai by their heart, they are patient and all very kind. I do not have any bad experience in my whole stay. And of course I have to mention all staff - from cleaners to managers.....they are really helpful all  day and there are no closing hours for them....just dedication to help you and make your stay fantastic. I will definitely come back:-)

Just returned from a second visit to Battle conquer. The place is run well with the focus on the guests. The food is amazing, some of the best Thai food I have eaten. The muay thai training is always intense, enjoyable and a laugh. The trainers can teach someone who has never thrown a punch in their life, up to experienced fighters. The training is always different and engaging with their focus on technique. I have enjoyed both of my visits and will look to book another one soon.

Where should I start. This was one of my best experiences I’ve ever made. This camp, the team, the training, the food everything is incredible. I loved every second. The location gives you the perfect opportunity to get into Muay Thai and yoga. Also perfect to see the real Thailand and not the touristic Thailand.
The trips they’re organize are super nice. The trainers are great. They do a hard training, they push you through it but with so much passion and love. Also they are super funny and it’s just great. When someone was completely new into boxing etc. they took their time to show them the correct techniques. So much love in every detail. The Muay Thai Gym, the Café and the yoga shala. I met so many great people. Overall I just highly recommend this place.

MTBC provides expert training in “the art of eight limbs” (Muay Thai) and “the sweet science” of (American styled) Boxing that is structured to accommodate most everyone; from first-timers to those with professional aspirations.  At MTBC every practitioner is engaged and instructed in the martial aspects of their chosen discipline; coupled with a multitude of aerobic exercises, ALL are challenged to persevere through repetition (“…back to running…”)!  With twelve exceptional trainers to chose from every guest who steps into the MTBC gym (and into its ring) is a winner…(I’d be remiss if I didn’t publicly thank and acknowledge instructors Yo, Jack, Jed, Luk, and the rest of the MTBC team - Thank You ALL)!!!

MTBC is unique in that it seeks out extraordinary yoga teachers from ALL over the world to bring their passion, love, and expertise to teach physical fitness and both relaxation and meditation techniques to its guests.  The types of yoga instructed and practiced at MTBC range from the very gentle and restorative to the utterly contorting and acrobatic (shouting out Amy, Grace, Leah, Raquel, and Varun)!

Under the banner of “Wellness” I must also include the very beautiful and talented women who consistently prepared our delicious Thai meals twice a day; “Khob Khun Krap!”  The Thai cooking classes, “Cooking with Mao” were phenomenal (may your cooking classes ultimately become a global YouTube sensation)!

Nothing replenished me as much in my physical and mental recovery as the Thai Full Body Massage” and Thai Oil Massage respectively; to say they were exceedingly restorative is a gross understatement!  I’m convinced we ALL should have such talents in our hands and feet to rejuvenate another (Thank you Lew and Ood; my apologies to the third woman who will go unnamed here but not un-acknowledged)!

At MTBC there is a nail salon where the guests can be pampered with manicures, pedicures, and foot scrubs (ALL three I received; thank you Kan) and if so inclined, in which I was, received a masterfully “tapped” tattoo by artisan extraordinaire, no exaggeration here, Muay Thai Instructor Master “Yo!”  Beautifully rendered I’m now endowed with a symbol that represents my “path to freedom!”  In no small measure it is the MTBC experience that had me receive my first ever tattoo (and I THANK YOU ALL)!

I’m both thankful and grateful to the housekeeping staff for every concern I had brought to them over my three month long stay (at MTBC) was consistently met and resolved in a very timely manner! 🙏🏾

Biggest of thank you’s to Noi, Owen, Chris, and Kieran; without you ALL’s stewardship, MTBC wouldn’t be as “exceptional!”  A very big hug and thank you to Sarah for the booking consideration I received for you made my extended stay possible!

Excursions
There are daily excursions to be enjoyed outside of the MTBC campus.  One can chose a hike to the waterfall or through a mango grove, swim at either a lake or at a local pool, feed monkeys and fish (actually both enjoyable and cathartic) or visit one of several Temples made available to its guest.  MTBC management can (will) also facilitate guest excursions to such places as Phetchabun and Bangkok (I had partaken in both)!

Camaraderie
One of the biggest takeaways of having the MTBC experience is meeting and training and bonding with the many people you will meet who have come from ALL over the world to be in this space of like-“mindfulness!”  In my experiences here at MTBC we ALL pulled for one another’s betterment over merely competing against one another as combatants.  Here, at Muay Thai Battle  Conquer, you may very well find as I have, your “Sangha…!!!”

Damn, it was a ride of my life :-)

Staying in this camp I had the best time and unforgettable experience in my life. Everyone was so lovely and helpful from the moment I got there. I went there because I wanted to learn muay thai but I got much much more – incredible atmosphere, amazing trips, professional instructors, warm thai culture and world-wide friends. 

The muay thai classes – even though I was not very good student :-) (quite fat and little lazy :-)) the instructors were amazingly patient (Game, Pepo, Jad, Luk, Jack, Kong, Mos, Bo, Nat, Benz, Yo, TJ,.....). Each of them is very unique, professional and very determined to teach you the art of this phenomenal sport. I took also 1-1 classes which were „creme de la creme“ for me (Kong, Mos and Bo) :-)

Yoga classes – my husband also took yoga class with Leah and it made impression on him. He was surprised how it can reduce your inner stress. 

The management and other crew – Noi, Kieran, Chris, Sarah and all people who take care about you in camp are amazing. There are always there for you. When they met me in the camp, they always asked me if I am satisfied or If I need some help with something. For them – there is no such thing like closing hours.....they are helpful 24/7.

The food – gorgeous (always smiling Moaw :-))I tried so many new things.... I also loved protein shakes in Noi cafe :-)

Overall experience – I wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely come back :-)

P.S. also possibility of manicure/pedicure and tattoo for you in camp :-)

When you come to this camp, you will leave part of your heart there.......

I honestly couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Everything about Battle Conquer is warm, welcoming and a true reflection of what it is to experience rural Thailand lifestyle. The staff were all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, often going out of their way to assist and communicate activities around the camp. The trainers are experts and aptly train people of all experience and fitness levels, while making you feel confident with each step of progress you make. I can safely say I've never laughed so much in my life, and I never expected to be smiling during burpees and push-ups, let alone be happily training 5.5 hours a day (in Thai heat) and miss being there. I was lucky enough to see a Muay Thai fight with my 1-on-1 trainer whilst in Phetchabun. The skill, sportsmanship and respect demonstrated by the fighter and training team towards his opponent was outstanding and that same respect is shown to everyone who trains at Battle Conquer. Further, the food (especially raw bowls) was delicious, healthy, and the communal-style dining area generated community and friendships. I cannot wait to return and Battle Conquer feels like a bit of a family vibe, much greater than the sum of its parts, due to the care and curation of the wellness/fitness experience by all involved.

Where to start... without exception everyone at Muay Thai Battle Conquer was lovely. The organizers and everyone involved in the camp are very professional and make the day run smoothly. The kitchen team is made up of goddesses who always prepare a feast (seriously, the absolute best food, I miss it so much). I have met so many great people. Despite the large number of visitors, the atmosphere is very family-like and everyone is immediately welcomed with open arms. The camp is very welcoming and beautifully designed. The rooms are simple but comfortable with private bathrooms.

The daily routine takes place in two camps, which are well connected by shuttle bus, by bike or on foot.
I also appreciated the times: morning training starts early in the morning followed by a generous breakfast. Afternoon training starts mid-afternoon followed by dinner. I was always well fed and in great shape for training.

The stay seems expensive at first glance. However, when you consider how much is included, the price becomes very relative. For example, drinking water and fruit for snacking is always available. In many other camps such details are not included and cost extra! Private trainings and massages are very cheap in contrast to other camps. 

As for Muay Thai training: all instructors are professionals and take care of everyone. Attention is paid to the correct technical execution. I learned a lot from the guys in a very short time. The workouts are challenging, but doable for everyone.
The more you give, the more you get: If you are serious about Muay Thai, you will make very good progress. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or advanced.

I can highly recommend the camp and would definitely come again!
