For guests that are not registering with a group, you will be notified of the closest New England  departure point to where you live approximately 4 weeks prior to the departure date.   If you would like to be connected and register with a group promoting this trip prior to registration please contact our office at 603-554-8901.  

You will receive your final trip documents, departure time, departure location, and luggage tags approximately 2 weeks prior to the trip departure date.  

The Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum maintains the world's largest and most significant collection of aviation and space artifacts, encompassing all aspects of human flight, as well as related works of art and archival materials. It operates two landmark facilities that, together, welcome more than eight million visitors a year, making it the most visited museum in the country. It also is home to the Center for Earth and Planetary Studies. 

We will visit the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, located near Washington Dulles International Airport in Chantilly, Virginia.  It is a massive structure with open, hangar-like settings that accommodate large aircraft and spacecraft, as well as entire collections of aviation and space artifacts. 

 Arlington National Cemetery  is one of the country’s oldest national cemeteries. The cemetery’s rolling hills mark the final resting place for more than 14,000 veterans, including those who fought in the Civil War. The cemetery also offers a final resting place for residents of the Armed Forces Retirement Home – Washington. 

Our tour here is a live-narrated, hop on/hop off tour making four stops: President John F. Kennedy gravesite, John J. Pershing gravesite, Memorial Amphitheater (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier) and Arlington House, and Ord and Weitzel Gate (near the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial).

The valiant defense of the fort during the Battle of Baltimore on September 13-14, 1814 inspired Francis Scott Key to write the words that became the U.S. national anthem. The fort's history holds many other stories too, from the Civil War to WWII.   Known as “The Birthplace of the National Anthem,” Fort McHenry is the only National Monument and Historic Shrine in the National Park Service. During the War of 1812, the Fort's garrison stood firm during a severe naval bombardment by British forces. 

The home of America’s first president, George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate is one of the nation’s most visited historic sites.  Now it's your turn to step back in history and see the home and estate that shaped George Washington.

Rates and itineraries shown here were in effect at the time of printing and no changes are anticipated; however, Best of Times Travel reserves the right to withdraw any tour or to make any rate changes, as necessary.  Prices are subject to change.  A deposit is always required to confirm a reservation. A Deposit of $400pp, plus insurance premium (if selected) is due upon registration to confirm your reservation.  Travel Insurance: We recommend your purchase of optional travel insurance.  This optional travel insurance is per person and the premium is based on the overall trip cost.  Travelers MUST purchase the plan at the time of initial deposit.  Coverage will not be in place unless your full Deposit is received.   Cancellation schedule and fees are in place regardless of cancellation reason (including, but not limited to, force majeure, health pandemics or government restrictions).  Travel Insurance Premium is also Non-Refundable regardless of cancellation reason.   Payment in full must be received by March 7th, 2025 or this may result in an automatic cancellation.   Please note:  All cancellations must be made in writing and sent to Best of Times Travel via email to cancellations@bestoftimestravel.com or via mail.  The date of cancellation is deemed to be the date received by Best of Times Travel.  Cancellation Charges for this programs are as follows:  Cancellations from date of booking until 3/7/2025 have no cancellation fee.   Cancellations from 3/8/2025 until 3/31/2025 will be assessed a cancellation fee of 75% of the total fare.  Cancellations after 3/31/2025 will receive no refund, 100% of the total fare.  Best of Times Travel is not responsible for any refunds over and above said amount.  Best of Times Travel reserves the right to issue any refunds due, in whole or in part, in the form of future travel credit.
