About this trip
Hawaii is a wonderful state, with some fantastic birding. Mandy Talpas is overwhelmingly the most experienced and fun guide on the islands. She will lead you to look for the iconic Hawaiian Honeycreepers, to some of the fantastic seabirds that are found in Hawaii. Of course, there are also a plethora of non-native species that we will see as we look for the Hawaii specialties. The food is amazing, lots of fresh fish, tropical fruit and sunshine. A trip even your non-birding friends will be interested in!

We had a great time on this trip.
Mandy was awesome to bird with. She knew where to go and how to identify the birds quickly. She also knew a lot about local history and plant life as well, which was very interesting.
We saw most of the endemics we could have seen, which was the main purpose for me to go on the trip. The pelagic boat trip was fabulous. I got to see a lot of lifers.
The food was also great. She took us to some great local places with very good food.
The accommodations were top notch. I would recommend Mandy and this trip to anyone.

We saw all the birds we were expected to see. If a person has not been to Hawaii for birds this is the way to go.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Mandy was an amazing guide. In addition to knowing about the birds, she knew a lot about Hawaiian history and culture. She was personable and fun! If you're interested in birding in Hawaii, I highly recommend Mandy!
