Reviews

My wife and I have been visiting Tanzania periodically over the past 20 years. In December 2024, we booked a one-day safari within Arusha National Park through Nungunungu Company Ltd with the specific purpose of birding. Our guide was Isaac Kilusu who exceeded our expectations. Isaac had a knowledge of the bird species within the area - as well as throughout East Africa - and where to find them, beginning in the suburbs of Arusha. We were able to log 138 species. Isaac recorded the species on eBird and forwarded the list to us at the end of the day. The day also included a 2-hour walking safari, which was not strenuous and worth the time to see verdant parts of the Park not seen from the road. The driver was professional and the lunch more than expected. We highly recommend not only Nungunungu for your African tour but also Isaac Kilusu for chasing your Life List.

Dear Murray S, Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us. We are delighted to hear that your trip exceeded your expectations and added to your cherished memories of Tanzania over the past 20 years. We’re thrilled that Isaac Kilusu was able to provide such a memorable birding adventure. His dedication and deep knowledge of East African bird species are truly remarkable, and we are super proud to have him as part of our team. Logging 143 bird species (updated) in one day is an incredible achievement, and we’re so glad his efforts to record and share the eBird checklist enhanced your experience. It’s also wonderful to hear that the walking safari, our professional driver, and the lunch added to your satisfaction. Your kind words and recommendation mean the world to us, and we are honored to have been part of your journey in Tanzania. We hope to welcome you both back for another adventure soon. Thank you for trusting Nungunungu for your birding tour! Joe
