About this trip

This trip was absolutely the best I’ve had. The fact that it was Dubai was a plus. I really appreciated the option for the flight to be booked as a group allowing folks to fly together to another country. Even better because Jerald was on that flight. I was getting nervous but of course trusting him made me at ease. In Dubai we enjoyed everything on the itinerary and joined as well by Jerald. The friendliness of everyone was amazing and we clicked so well. I could not have asked for anything more for such a wonderful experience. I’m looking forward to more trips with the Black Kings Travel group. Kudos to Jerald for a magnificent job well done. Thanks. 

Black Kings Travel Dubai Tour - 2023

We had an amazing time in Dubai!  The upgrade to the 5star accommodations was the perfect way to start our journey.  Jerald made sure our itinerary captured fun and exciting moments and created experiences we will remember forever.  Heck we ready to go back next year!  It was a delight to meet some amazing people whom we call our new traveling friends!  It was simply amazing!

I had a great time with a great group of men.  I felt like I belonged, had great conversations, was patient, and cared for.  I will definitely travel with BKT again.  Thanks for the good time.

This was my first cruise. The planning from the start to the end was organized well. The travel agent communicated the agenda great. The other members on the cruise were friendly and entertaining.

BKTG - Western Caribbean Cruise

I had a great time...best vacation ever. I look forward to traveling with this group many more times.

My only critique: I suggest an initial meet-and-great with name tags for everyone. It can start with an icebreaker and introductions. It then evolve into a cocktail party with light appetizers. Maybe for an hour n a half. 

Getting to the ship embarkation was efficient. Members in the group were friendly and helpful for first-time cruisers. We had a great time on the ship and at the destined locations.

I definitely enjoyed the trip. The rooms at the resort were AMAZING! The food and drinks were pretty good, and the atmosphere with the group was pretty easy going and the vibe was right. I would probably say the I my downside from a group perspective would be to break down in detail any resort credits that each individual would receive, explain what they can be used for, etc. Also, pre-planning any group activities or meet up times so that everyone gets the same information at the same time, also including maybe a group event (rent a meeting room for a group theme party, or even just have a larger resort room set up for an event/game night, pajama night/party, etc.) doesn’t have to be anything big, just something to get everyone together and the group all having fun together.

BKTG - Summer Get-A-Way

The trip  exceeded my expectations. I believe everyone involved experienced something that made  the trip memorable and rewarding. Friendships were formed and positive vibes of Black Kings will continue to flourish. 


Managed to have a great time on this trip.  Could have used more communication leading up to it and more of a structure once on it.  Nevertheless, I had a good time and met some new people.  

I had a great time. The atmosphere and people was wonderful. The food was delicious. Planning on going back next year


InterContinental - Essence Festival 2023

We had a lovely time in NOLA during the Essence Music Festival. Wonderful experience all around...great food, music and seminars. Thanks to Jerald for arranging our hotel which we liked very much and plan to stay again next year. Housekeeping service was a bit slow in responsiveness of requests but front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Notwithstanding the scorching temps, everything went smoothly.

The trip was awesome and hotel was great how ever we did not receive the full package from Jtravelup so when I spoke to someone while we were there in New Orleans. They said they were they were refunding us $150 but I have not received it yet in my bank account.. are therefore as their flight was canceled for our T-shirts and other amenities so please forward my refund would be greatly appreciated.

The Hilton on Riverside was a great hotel to stay at!! Overall this traveling group didn't provide me with the items they said that we were going to receive. I didn't get any notification or email about the welcome party. I didn't get the gift bag with t-shirt or the 3 day trolley pass.

Our flight experience with Jet Blue was effortless.  We rarely fly with Jet Blue but after this past experience flying on Jet Blue for our trip to Aruba, we may fly with Jet Blue more often.

I had a great time. I wish the group photo of us in our t-shirts was better planned as quite a few people were not there for the photo. It was an awesome trip and I'm ready for 2024.

Overall we had a good time, love our location, swag bag, and the complimentary breakfast was the best.  I will suggest that going forward have better communication or a daily itinerary of group activities to participate in (participation optional), but at least you are in the loop of things or if a change of plans at the last minute you can send a WhatsApp to the group notifying members.
  
We missed the group picture because we didn't know when or where it was happening.

Hopefully, next year's meet and greet on Day 1 advise members to download WhatsApp if they don't have it and circulate a sheet to obtain the phone numbers of guests in the group, and have one person in charge of notifying people of last-minute changes. That person should also be in charge of the headcount of people on tours to ensure no one is left behind.  I didn't see that done and this is very important when traveling abroad in groups.  I have traveled, and that headcount is crucial one restroom stop a guest that is traveling alone so no one notices the guest is missing until we are miles away and have to return or the guest has to find a way back to the hotel. Otherwise, it was a great experience job well done!

P.S. More Chardonnay it appears we like Chardonnay more than red wine at meet and greet at the Holiday Inn!  I didn't get any...LOL!

We purchased the Super VIP Platinum Package. Our seating arrangements for the shows were great. My husband and I did not participate in the after parties after the shows because we were exhausted. I would like to suggest a VIP package that do not include after parties for those of us who are senior citizens.

Soul Beach - Super VIP Platinum Package

My husband and I had a wonderful time being in the environment of beautiful black people of all ages. No drama, just wonderful socialization.  The food was pricey but great. Our stay at the Radisson Blu was more than we expected. We have decided to participate next year.

Had a great time. Events were very good. Issues were dealt with promptly.  

Such a dope experience. Everything about this trip was amazing my family really enjoyed themselves, we was 13 deep with just our immediate group. The excursions were everything, fun in the sun with water is always a good time. Jerold is amazing. Communicates fast & efficiently on all levels & did i mention he is also a good time!! Definitely looking forward to traveling with this group again. 

I had an amazing time with the JTravel experience. The accommodations and flight were excellent! The people were fun and the beach was fire!! Thank you for the experience and the thank you gifts!!

I had a great time. I felt there were a few hiccups here and there, but for the most part this trip, for me was epic. I wish we would have planned better about the group photo in our T shirts. Maybe next time we can schedule a group photo the first or second day or do it at the same time we take our Shades of Blue or whatever theme we have going on pictures. Again I had a blast.


Had a really really really good time on my first time out of the country. The people food fun was amazing. What I really liked was the fun package of activities for us to do you should out on that jt thanks for ALL the hard work you put in to make this a trip to remember. I meet new sisters, brothers for life thanks once again Aruba 23 you rocked.

It was a wonderful trip. The accommodations on the ship was excellent. From the many place to eat to the shows. The Leader of the group, MR. Jerald Ford, did an outstanding job putting this trip together.
