Join us in Bolivia for eleven nights and ten full days as we experience the rich culture and amazing natural beauty of Sucre, La Paz, and the Uyuni Salt Flats

Great Food & Unique Schedule Flexibility

Throughout the trip we will have the opportunity to dine at a wide  variety of extraordinary restaurants (from casual street food to fine  dining). While the tour offers many unique scheduled experiences, its  casual structure also provides daily opportunities for guests to adjust the plans to match their interests and desired speed and intensity.

ALTITUDE ~ Sucre: 9,154 ft   ~   Uyuni: 12,139 ft   ~   La Paz: 11,975 ft     


WEATHER ~     

Sucre winter is dry and sunny, with very mild days (78f average) and cold nights (42f average)
Uyuni is cooler and dry with cool days (54f average) and cold nights (27f average)
La Paz will be slightly warmer and a little more overcast, but still very little chance of rain. Daytime will be cool (57f average) and cold nights (29f average). 


TRANSPORTATION ~ We use various modes of transportation in Bolivia, including airplanes, vans, taxis, and cable cars. 

    

PHYSICAL EXERTION ~ Moderately High Exertion (4 of 5) – Due to the altitude we consider this tour more physically challenging than most of our tours. In order to fully appreciate this tour, tourists should be physically agile and have the ability to walk at a moderate pace for 15 minutes at a time at high altitude. If you have breathing, heart, or mobility concerns, please consult with both your doctor and us before you book this tour. As with most of our tours, participants can self-modify the itinerary to meet their ability.

    Accommodations for 11 nights for one person in a double occupancy room (unless single occupancy upgrade is chosen)
  • Airport Transport
    Ground transportation from Alcantarí International Airport (SRE) in Sucre to the hotel on arrival day and from hotel in La Paz to El Alto International Airport (LPB) on the departure day.
  • Inter-City Transport
    Flight between Uyuni and La Paz and van rides between various other cities
  • Activity Transport
    Transportation to and from all scheduled daily activities.
  • Scheduled Activities
    Entrance fees for all scheduled cultural sites, museums and special studio visits.
  • Cooking Class
    Half day cooking class
  • Two Meals
    Two meals including a Welcome Dinner and Celebration Dinner (guests are responsible for all other meals)

What’s not included

  • Arrival/Depart Transport
    Arrival and departure airports are DIFFERENT! Guests are responsible for arranging and purchasing their own travel to arrive in Sucre (SRE) and depart from La Paz (LPB) on designated days.
  • Meals
    Other than the two noted meals, all other food and drink are the guest's responsibility.
  • Insurance
    Insurance is not included. We recommend tourists consider purchasing their own travel & health insurance and consult with their medical professional regarding recommended vaccinations & precautions.

Itinerary

Day 1-4
Sucre

Thursday is our arrival day and the only scheduled event this day is our welcome dinner


Friday – Monday are full days exploring Sucre including:
• Historic walking tour
• Museum visits including Museo Nacional de Etnografía y Folklore, Charcas Coonia and Universidad Andina Simon
• Tarabuco Sunday Market (one Bolivia's largest indigenous markets) 

• Demonstration and tour at Museo Maya
• Traditional Bolivian Cooking Class
• Cultural sites including La Glorieta Castle & La Catedral
