About this trip

Join Marcie Costello and Melissa Perry at Yandara in Todos Santos, Mexico on the beautiful Baja coast. This retreat is for those who are ready to explore your inner shadow, communication and boundary styles, so you can cultivate deep, meaningful relationships and live life more fully.

Imagine embarking on a transformative journey at a secluded retreat nestled between the ocean and the desert. As you step foot onto this sacred land, you feel a sense of tranquility wash over you, a knowing that this is a place where deep healing and growth await.

This desert beach oasis is located on 7 acres of property on the beautiful Baja coast, just one hour north of Cabo San Lucas. The property includes a saltwater pool, a beach with a magnificent coastline, a large beachfront yoga pavilion with breathtaking views of the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other.

Our "Boundaries of the Soul" retreat invites you to embark on a profound exploration of your inner world. Through guided workshops and immersive experiences, you will dive into the depths of your being, shedding light on your shadows, unraveling patterns of communication and boundary styles, and discovering the essence of your true self.

Within this safe and nurturing space, you will have the opportunity to cultivate deep and meaningful relationships with both others and yourself. Engage in heartfelt conversations, share vulnerable moments, and connect with fellow seekers on a soul level. Through this collective journey, you will discover the beauty of human connection, realizing that we are all interconnected in the vast tapestry of life.

Throughout the retreat, you will be provided with powerful tools and practices to facilitate your inward journey and guide you back to the essence of who you truly are. From guided meditations and yoga sessions to empowering workshops, each day will offer a new opportunity for self-reflection and self-discovery.

Imagine falling asleep under a blanket of twinkling stars, the rhythmic sounds of the ocean lulling you into a state of deep relaxation. Wake up to a symphony of singing birds and welcome the day with a gentle yoga and meditation session, connecting your body and mind in unison.

Nourishing meals will be prepared with love and intention, providing you with sustenance and energy to support your journey. Indulge in fresh, local ingredients that will nourish not only your body but also your spirit.

As part of this holistic retreat experience, you will have the opportunity to embark on exciting excursions and explore the natural beauty of the surrounding area with plenty of downtime to relax with a book in a hammock, swim in the saltwater pool or engage in mindful walks along the beautiful shoreline. Adventure to the artisan town of Todos Santos with its charming boutiques and open air markets or take a surf lesson at the famous Cerritos beach. These excursions will serve as a reminder of the interconnectedness between nature and our innermost selves.

The "Boundaries of the Soul" retreat is a sanctuary of self-discovery, a place where you can reconnect with your true essence and embark on a transformative journey towards inner peace and fulfillment. Leave behind the noise of the outside world and embark on a profound exploration of your heart, mind, and soul.

What to expect?

We are often our biggest barriers to what we want out of life.

Facilitated by Melissa, there will be four 2-hour guided group sessions on each of the subjects below. Eight hours of exploration of self and others, guided in safe but honest exercises created with YOU in mind.  Melissa is a licensed clinical psychologist. Her style of content delivery is intelligent, raw, real and not for the faint of heart.  Take those ear muffs off...you'll want to hear what she has to say!

Each morning, Marcie will lead a gentle flow yoga class followed by a 15 minute guided meditation.  Each session is thoughtfully themed and woven into the content of the workshops. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned yogi, you will feel supported and challenged with different levels of modifications in each class. Marcie teaches with heart and humor. Her goal is to create a yogic environment that every body feels safe, seen and honored.

Our goal, together, is to assist you in owning your personal strengths and limitations by combining the emotional with the physical body and gain tools that support mind, body and spirit.

Boundaries. This is where you align your inner and outer voice.
Using our style of communication effectively to create/implement and sustain healthy boundaries in both personal and professional lives.
Identifying, understanding and implementing healthy boundaries is crucial in both our personal and professional lives. In order to maintain a healthy balance and avoid burnout, it is important to establish clear boundaries and communicate them effectively. This means being aware of our needs and limits, and being able to say no when necessary. Understanding our communication style is also a key factor in maintaining healthy boundaries. It can impact how we see ourselves, interact with others, and can either enhance or hinder our relationships. By establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries, we can create a positive and productive environment in both our personal and professional lives.

Last day:
Integration of weekly content/Reframing our responsibility for our own feelings and that of others ( GETTING RID OF THAT GUILT):
It is important to recognize that asking for our needs to be met is a natural and necessary part of life. We should aim to communicate our needs clearly and respectfully, while also respecting the needs of others. It is important to remember that our needs are valid and deserving of attention, and that asking for them to be met does not make us selfish or unreasonable. It can be helpful to practice self-compassion and remind ourselves that we are not responsible for the reactions of others. By focusing on effective communication and respecting our own needs, we can overcome feelings of guilt and move towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Daily Yoga:
A daily yoga practice can be a powerful tool to deepen our understanding of our physical boundaries and how they intersect with our emotional and psychological ones. When integrated with a workshop on shadow or boundary work, yoga can help us to tap into the unconscious parts of ourselves that we may not be fully aware of, and begin to explore them in a safe and friendly way. By moving through different postures and breathing exercises, we can connect with our bodies in a way that allows us to become more attuned to our physical sensations and limitations. As we do so, we may also begin to notice how our emotional and psychological boundaries are reflected in our physical bodies. This deeper awareness can be transformative, allowing us to approach our shadow and boundary work with greater clarity and compassion.

Reviews

Marcie set a caring, compassionate and fun tone from the start. The yoga was perfect, challenging but not overwhelming. The sessions with Melissa, were filled with lots of good information and balanced the yoga. I'm glad I treated myself to a massage for a bit of self care. Yandara is lovely. We experienced some really delicious wonderful meals.
