The year is 1973 and it’s all happening. Led Zeppelin is king, Richard Nixon is President, and idealistic 15-year-old William Miller is an aspiring music journalist. When Rolling Stone magazine hires him to go on the road with an up-and-coming band, William is thrust into the rock-and-roll circus, where his love of music, his longing for friendship, and his integrity as a writer collide. Almost Famous is about a young man finding his place in the world and the indelible characters he meets along the way.

I had a good time and the bus ride and driver was great! He had the patience of a "saint" getting through the New York traffic in a timely manner.

What a fantastic day - the best lunch yet in a wonderful Italian restaurant with such a gracious owner/manager who couldn’t do enough for us. The food was delicious.
And the Cloisters were beautiful with wonderful tapestry and lucky for us we had a very knowledgeable docent. All in all it was a great day. Thanks Faith!

We very much enjoyed our trip to Atlantic City to see Bachelors of Broadway. The three Bachelors sang a wide variety of the top Broadway songs spanning shows from the early 1900’s up to the currently running shows. They even selected some of my favorites from Phantom of the Opera and Les Miz. We also got to play the slots with our $25 comp (even won some money before heading off to the show 😄). The only major issue was the temperature in the theatre which was far too cold to fully enjoy the show.

In May, I traveled with GS Getaways to Brooklyn, Philadelphia twice and a multi-day tour to Long Island. Each experience was unique, interesting and well run. The excellent step-on guides and docents greatly enhanced the knowledge and appreciation of the sites, and the special meals or restaurants were carefully chosen. It was also fun getting to know so many fellow travelers and reconnecting with a few from previous trips. Thank you, Faith and company!

We have been on numerous trips with Faith and they are always adventurous and well planned. This year started with the Kentucky Derby, Land and Cruise thru Alaska and the Mircle of Christmas in Lancaster Pa was a great way to wrap of the year. Can't wait for new adventures.
