This was an amazing day in the Bucay Area with incredible rappelling down waterfalls. We were picked up at our hotel in a comfortable van and taken to meet our rappelling guides. They did an amazing job providing all equipment we needed and helping us through the process. We did four different waterfalls and it was definatley a highlight of our Ecuador trip.
We had a fabulous time on our Cloud Forest Hike. Our guide Noe took great care of us, from all the hiking to having a great lunch. We were very appreciative of his knowledge. We found this tour when we were still in the states and booked once we arrived in Equador. Communication was so easy on WhatsApp. A definite recommendation!
We had such a great time! Wilson was very kind and friendly. We appreciate his patience and willingness to teach us about the culture and the flora and fauna on our hike. He helped my husband feel safe and secure and repelling, and even worked on some English in Spanish with us on our drive. :-) 10 out of 10 definitely Recommend !!
This tour was absolutely amazing! From the very first moment, Wilson, out tour guide, was very punctual and arrived at my hotel at the right time. Then he explained to me how the trip would be, the itinerary and all of the stops. On the way to Bucay, we stopped in the highway next to a fruit stall and Wilson told us about all the different kinds of fruits and bananas. Then we kept going towards Bucay while he explained things about the region, very cool. Also, Wilson’s a great and careful driver. After arriving to Bucay, we started driving up towards the forest and there was a lot of mist, it was a sight to behold, incredible. When the road ended, Wilson asked us if we wanted to take the easy or the medium difficulty path, and it was nice of him to ask. We chose the easy path and it only took us 10 min to get to the first waterfall and about 12 to get to the biggest one, the Isabela. There, Wilson started preparing the gear for rappelling down the first waterfall and in the meantime he let us swim near the Isabela. When it was time for rappelling, Wilson was very thorough and explained to us all the sagety measures and gave us all the tips and tricks to make our descent safe and easy. It was all very professional and felt very safe all the time. The descent was scary, but thrilling! After that, we went back to the car (which, btw, was a very confortable van) and Wilson stepped back quite a long way to give us privacy to change. Then we started the long drive back to Guayaquil. Thank you so much for everything, Wilson!
