Itinerary

Yasuni
Dolphin expedition

Day 1:

Welcome to the thrilling experience of a lifetime! We will begin our journey at 8:00 a.m. by boarding a fast boat that will take us to Nuevo Rocafuerte, the last border town. Get ready to discover astonishing landscapes and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Amazon rainforest. Around 12:00 p.m., we will enjoy a delicious lunch that will energize us for what lies ahead. We will embark on an incredible journey along the Yasuni River, one of the most important tributaries of the Amazon! Our destination: Cocaya, where comfortable cabins await us. And the adventure doesn't end when night falls! We will delve into the mysterious nocturnal world of the Amazon rainforest, marveling at frogs, amphibians, and reptiles. Cocaya territory is located on the border between Yasuni National Park and the Cuyabeno Protection Strip, the furthest point in the Ecuadorian jungle.

Day 2:

We will rise early at 5 a.m. to have our breakfast because this day promises to be extraordinary! Early in the morning, we will embark on a boat trip to find the magical Amazon Pink Dolphin. The community will provide us with the opportunity to capture the most amazing moments in photographs while the pink dolphin interacts as it is fed with fish. After this unforgettable experience, we will return to the camp to enjoy a delicious lunch. Next, we will venture on a roughly 3-hour hike in search of wildlife species. Don't miss the chance to spot howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, capuchins, and many other fascinating species.

Day 3:

We will explore the magnificent Cocaya lagoon, one of the jewels of Yasuni. But that's not all, because we are going to do sport fishing with the opportunity to catch iconic Amazonian fish: piranhas, pacu, corvinas, sabaletas, etc. In the evening, we will have the opportunity to savor these fish!

Day 4:

Prepare your senses for a day filled with adventure. At 5:00 a.m., after enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will embark on a 4 to 5-hour hike to explore the jungle and discover more wonders of nature. The excitement is guaranteed! We will return to the camp to recharge with lunch, and in the afternoon, we will have a unique experience: swimming in the blackwater lagoons. We will gather for dinner in the company of new friends and share our unforgettable experiences in a night of camaraderie with community members.

Day 5: Today, on our last day together, we will savor special moments before bidding farewell to this Amazonian paradise. After breakfast at 5:00 a.m., we will begin our return journey. Seize every moment to absorb the beauty that surrounds you. Then, we will transfer with our luggage to Nuevo Rocafuerte, where we will share a delicious lunch before boarding the public speedboat at 12:00 p.m. We will return to El Coca around 5:00 p.m., where transportation to the bus terminal or your hotel will be arranged. Thus, our incredible adventure together will conclude, but the memories will last forever!
