After a hearty breakfast, your guide will pick you up and drive you for just over two hours from the lodge to the Londorossi Park Gate. After checking in at the gate, you will ascend a steep forest road in a 4WD vehicle to take you to Lemosho Glades. Here you will have lunch and start the walk to the Mti Mkubwa (Swahili for big tree) campsite. The crew will set up camp in the afternoon and all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the view.

Rain & cloud forest 

After an early breakfast, you will climb for an hour to the highest part of the forest. After this, you will walk for 2 hours on a gentler slope through the moorland. After a short lunch and rest, you will continue on a rocky ridge on the beautiful Shira Plateau, west of Kibo (Kilimanjaro Summit), from where you will have your first view of the breathtaking glaciers. After a short walk, you will reach the Shira campsite at 3,840m. The crew will provide a tasty meal. You will have plenty of time to sit back and relax further.

Moorland

Although you end the day at about the same altitude as you started, this day is very important for acclimatization. From the Shira Plateau we head east along a ridge, past the junction to Kibo summit before continuing southeast to Lava Tower (altitude 4650m). Shortly after 'Lava Tower' we come to a second junction, which leads to 'Arrow Glacier'. We descend further to spend the night at Barranco Camp.

Moorland

Your day starts with braving the impressive Barranco Wall. Although it is an impressive sight at first, the climb is always easier than expected. You will soon discover how beautiful the mighty Kilimanjaro is. You then head to the Karanga Valley, where we set up camp at Karanga Camp.

Alpine Desert

We continue up to Barafu Camp, and once reached you have now completed the South Circuit, which offers a variety of breathtaking summit views from many different angles. 

Today we have an early dinner and rest as we prepare for the night to the summit. Overnight at Barafu Camp. This is the 'base camp' of Kilimanjaro.

At approximately 23:30 you will wake up for some tea and biscuits and head out into the dark night. You will head northwest and ascend towards Stella Point on the crater rim. Many climbers find this 6 hour walk to Stella point to be the most mentally and physically challenging aspect of the climb. At Stella Point (5,685m) your efforts are rewarded with a short rest and the most magnificent 'sunrise' you will ever see (weather permitting). From Stella Point you will normally encounter snow on your 2 hour climb to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. An achievement you will remember for the rest of your life!

The walk back to Barafu from the summit takes about 3 hours. Here you will have a well-deserved but short rest and collect the rest of your gear before heading to the Mweka hut (3,100 m). The route is not very difficult and eventually takes you into the forest. Here you can rest and reflect on the climb.

After an early and well-earned breakfast, there is still a 3-hour walk back to the Parkgate, where you will receive a certificate upon successful ascent. You will be picked up and returned to the Lodge for a warm welcome!

You'll start your journey from your Arusha hotel , embarking on a scenic 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Later, the drive continues to your overnight accommodation in Karatu, we leave the park at 15hr or 16h and drive to Karatu, Its about 2 hrs of drive from Tarangire to Karatu, you arrive for dinner and stay.

The Tarangire National Park park is a haven for wildlife, boasting herds of up to 300 elephants, scraping the river beds for elusive streams. Witness nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and an array of antelope congregating around shrinking lagoons. It holds the highest concentration of wildlife beyond the Serengeti, a paradise for predators. Here, unique species like the elegant fringe-eared oryx and the distinctive long-necked gerenuk are commonly sighted—a rarity elsewhere in Tanzania.

At 06:30am sharp you will go early morning game drive in Serengeti until 08:00am, after breakfast and check out at the lodge at 0900am you will drive to Nabi gate, count 2 hours, depending on things you may see, from Nabi gate to Karatu is another 2 hours, and from Karatu to Arusha you can count 3 hours, in total, you can count 5 hours of drive from Karatu to Arusha, around 18:00pm you will be arriving in Arusha and check in at your accommodation.
