Experience Christmas at Biltmore just as the Estate grounds have been freshly decorated for the 2018 Season and the crowds have not yet arrived! Treat yourself to an early Christmas present with a choice of either the Village Hotel or the Inn on Biltmore, both located on the Estate property. Biltmore shuttle buses add to the enjoyment and ease of getting around the Estate with no parking hassles and endless walking! No other residence in America offers a more authentic, original, and inspiring view of life during the Guided Age than the Biltmore House. When the House, Antler Hill Village, Winery and both Hotels are all dressed up for the Holiday Season, it is spectacular!
Trip accommodations are located on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate. Relax with the charming decor reminiscent of estate farmhouses and cottages at the Village Hotel. This hotel is located in the heart of the lively Antler Hill Village and Biltmore Winery. You literally walk out of the hotel and you are steps to the Winery! Rooms are equipped with refrigerators for those who enjoy bringing along their own beverages and snacks.
Or, choose the Inn on Biltmore Estate if you prefer a little more elegance. This is a four-star hotel and recipient of top awards from AAA, Forbes Travel Guide, Travel & Leisure and TripAdvisor. The hotel sets upon a hill overlooking the Winery and Antler Hill Village with unparalleled views of the mountains and estate grounds. The hotel lobby is a beautiful replica of the Biltmore House grand foyer! **Please note the accommodation prices are per person. There are also package prices for triple and quad occupancy. If interested, please contact Patty the Trip Organizer**
Emergencies happen. I don't like to keep people's money when something happens that forces you to cancel the trip. My philosophy and policy is that I return all costs to you that I can recover. Many times this is 100% if you have to cancel pretty far out but if it is last minute I may not be able to recover the cost of a ticket or hotel room. I also will always try to resell your seat. Sometimes I have a waiting list for trips and this is possible. Of course, a sure way to protect your trip investment is with the purchase of trip insurance. WeTravel offers insurance through TravelEx Insurance or feel free to use a company of your own choosing.
If I have to cancel the trip due to lack of participation or bad weather (last year Hurricane Irma forced a cancellation), I will try to reschedule the trip first. If this is not possible, then I will refund your trip purchase.

November 12th - Departure locations will be planned once I determine where you, the passengers reside. Typically, I choose a location in Wilmington and one in Brunswick County. We will spend the day traveling to Asheville, with two planned stops, one for lunch and a second one for a leg stretch/bathroom break. A popular question is, "are there bathrooms on the bus?" Yes there are!
We should arrive close to the 4pm check-in time, have a little time to settle in and then enjoy our Welcome Dinner and Admission to the beloved Candlelight Christmas Evening. Candlelight, firelight, live music bring holiday warmth to the extravagant holiday decor of the Biltmore House.
November 13th - Following breakfast on your own, our bus picks up at both hotels for a return trip to the Biltmore House and Gardens where you can view more of the 250 room chateau and conservatory by daylight. After your self-guided tour, you can spend the day at the Estate, shopping in Antler Hill Village, visiting America's most-visited winery or just relaxing. There will also be an option at 2:30pm to enjoy a 90-minute narrated Trolley Tour of Downtown Asheville and it's Historic Neighborhoods. The tour is quite interesting and entertaining! At the end of the tour there will be a little time for shopping before returning to the Estate for that wine tasting (if you haven't already enjoyed that) and dinner on your own.
November 14th - Early breakfast on own, check-out and we'll pay a visit to the The Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is home to the Southern Highland Craft Guild. The center showcases the finest in traditional and contemporary crafts of the Southern Appalachians. In addition to an Eastern National bookstore and Blue Ridge Parkway information desk, the center houses three galleries, a library, and the Guild's oldest craft shop. 11am - We depart the Folk Art Center and travel back home with one stop for lunch along the way.
