Everyone has heard of the famous German Christmas Markets and our classic tour visits the most traditional of the Bavarian markets. Sip hot wine with the locals and enjoy learning about German Christmas customs! Ours is a small, personalized tour, and participation is limited to 23 people. By design, our tour covers less geography so you don't spend all of your time in a bus. During our time, we use only two hotels, both of which are located in the old towns. We take care of all the details and explain all the secrets of the culture, the history and the traditions. If you believe there is more to travel than just sight-seeing, our trip is for you.
Enjoy the convenience of having a local unveil the history and unlock the culture and its traditions. With our expertise, you will see more in less time and experience the beauty of the Bavarian Culture, stress-free.
Check out our ratings at TripAdvisor and our traveler stats, and be sure to look up more references on Linked-In. We are very proud of our 35% rate of repeat guests! If you can't join us this time, you can still follow our travels here on Facebook.
Europe is not always for someone with disabilities and we encourage you to asses your abilities frankly. With our tour, there is a good amount of walking. Our hotels are located in the "old town" which makes getting in with a bus challenging. We often need to load and unload the bus and walk to our hotel, with our things, up to 1/4 mile. Many of our hotels do not have an elevator and the most interesting parts of any of our destinations are located in pedestrian only areas, usually paved with cobble stones. As a guideline we recommend you be able to sustain a pace of 3 mph for up to 20 minutes.
Many of our group meals have a pre-planned menu and we offer the very best in common German cuisine. We can accommodate many dietary restrictions including common ones like Vegetarian and various allergies. However, we asked that you inform us up front. And, I am afraid that the traditional restaurants we commonly use will almost never offer Vegan selections.
This being Germany, alcohol is abundant and many of your fellow travelers will be enjoying beer and wine during the meals. In the markets, the alcohol drinks are a beloved part of the the Christmas Market experience.
