About this trip

Visit  the highest active volcano in Ecuador. The snow-capped volcano tops out  5894 meters or 19337 feet above sea level. This protected area is the most-visited National Park. The Cotopaxi volcano itself is a beautiful volcano. Perhaps the most photographed volcano in mainland Ecuador due to its conical shape and its perpetual snow.  


Come up and take in the beautiful surroundings while exploring the mountains on horseback. Take a guided horseback ride through the beautiful volcanic scenery, and gain a whole new perspective on the sorroundings of the Cotopaxi National Park. With a  2-hour ride, Andean horses available  for everyone. 


Discover more than one volcano. Biological diversity surrounds this volcanic valley is unique. The Limpiopungo lagoon  complements the beauty of the scenic-view. Wildlife can be seen crossing  from the entrance to the refuge of the volcano.
