Stress creeps in and haunts us in more than one way these days. From the constant stimuli we are surrounded with – noises, inputs, visuals – to just “keeping up with the news”, it is not an easy task to keep stress at bay. While normal levels of stress are important, chronic stress leads to separation: it disrupts our senses and disconnects us from our soul, our deep wisdom (aka the stuff that, deep down, we already know), our Higher-Selves. 

While that is true, whether connected or not, our Soul is always there. And, what if our senses could be nurtured and polished in a gentle way, so that they authentically guide us back to our core being? What if we could consciously use our senses as our allies, through rich experiences and simple enjoyment and through them, cultivate inner joy, for the long run, in a more profound way?

We, Yuval Samburski, a well-experienced leader of global retreats, programs, yoga and sound healings, in loving collaboration with Purple Aura Retreats in Croatia, equipped with local knowledge, high end standards and exquisite attention to detail, have crafted this experience in a meticulous way, with you and your process in mind. Our journey will give you the time to take a break and a breath, the joy to feel, to experience, to engage (with others, with nature, with yourself). It will move you and centre you and excite you to feel more connected to yourself, perhaps for the first time, or perhaps, for you, once again.

CROATIA: JOURNEY THROUGH THE SENSES - AWAKEN YOUR SPIRIT IN TERRA MAGICA

A Week of Yoga, Sound Healing, Local Experiences and Fun, in the beautiful region of Istria. 

October 19th - 26th, 2024 (Saturday to Saturday).

About Our Journey:

From day one, we will embark on an indulgent sensory journey: sights, smells, sounds, touch and tastes, all will be awakened and engaged. 

The Inner Journey:

Yoga (Vinyasa, Restorative, self-massage) and movement sessions will be offered daily, sharpening your sense of touch, and your connection to deep listening into your own self. The sessions will give you what you need (each one different) at the specific time and day.

Sound Healing and Pranayama (breath) sessions will aid in deepening your connection with your own inner voice, your deep vibrations. You may connect to parts of your mind that may have been unconscious or blocked. This journey is profound and is your own, you will go at your own pace, with my support, of course.

The Outer Journey: 

Fun and indulgent local activities, will assist in captivating the full spectrum of the senses (including the ones of taste and smell 😋✨). Terra Magica is the perfect place to eat, drink, indulge, laugh and dance in between all the deep and personal inner work.

We'll visit an olive farm and explore the brilliant tastes of local made olive oil (wait until you taste how different and unique it is!!), we will enjoy a locally sourced dinner and taste handmade cheese to a brilliant sunset on an organic goat farm. 

For sights, we will visit the most breath-taking cliffs of the peninsula: Rt Kamenjak – Premantura, as well as one of the most magical Croatian national parks - Brijuni, consisting of fourteen (!!!) islands and a safari park (Safari on Islands in Croatia?? Yup, you heard it right!). We will visit one of Istria’s most beautiful and well-preserved hill-top medieval town of Motovun, which stands on top of a 277-meter hill overlooking stunning views of a natural valley. And those are just some highlights…

You will also have time to explore on your own, swim in the pools of our estate, or visit a beach, a town or a winery nearby (we will even provide transportation for you to do that). 

This will be a retreat of a lifetime, full of high-end, yummy experiences, inside and out.

About Croatia: Why Istria? 

Our retreat will take place in Istria, referred to as Terra Magica, a "Magical land" for a good reason. Istria is in the north-western region of Croatia and is also the largest peninsula within the Adriatic Sea, located at the very head of it (you can flip through the photos above to see its location on the map!). Its vineyards and family-run wineries which produce world class wine, olive groves and award-winning olive oil, forests laden with black and white truffles, as well as region’s captivating landscapes, forests and charming towns on hills, are all part of the reason why this region is often referred as Terra Magica. Capturing the essence of Istria as a place where natural beauty, history and culture come together to create unforgettable experience for those who visit. 

About Our Villas: The Prascari Estate

Our haven of stay is an authentic Istrian estate with four exclusive stone villas, spacious grounds and three swimming pools - a luxurious blend of old and new, all for us, for the entire week to enjoy.

All throughout: Rustic beams on the ceilings, walls made of original Istrian stone, and natural flooring materials are just a few features of its interior decoration that set an authentic and amazing atmosphere of luxury and truly support the mission of this retreat: a deep reconnection to our senses. Prascari Estate in its natural and historical beauty, combined with high end finishing’s exemplify the theme of our journey. Simply staying here is an experience for all the senses. 

Outside: Our villas are surrounded by vast green fields, vineyards and olive groves, just taking breaths outside is a moment to reconnect with yourself at any point of the day. Of our three swimming pools, our biggest swimming pool is heated, and so you won’t need to say “no” to a night time swim, next to the bonfire we will build. Just saying!

Inside: Each room has a private bathroom and sleeps up to two people. Common areas are within and outside the villas. 

The Prascari Estate is peaceful and welcoming, it feels lux and authentic in a nurturing way. From the moment we step on the grounds of our home for the week, the parallel journey towards our inner home, our pure self, begins.

• 8 days, 7 nights in authentic Istrian villas in our own village in nature

• Daily yoga sessions and workshops including Yoga, Sound Healing, Pranayama, UVYogaDance, Restorative, Self-Massage & Meditation

• 7 breakfasts and dinners prepared by private local chefs

Adding chicken or fish to your meal is available at an extra cost. 

• 5 activities exploring the true magic of Terra Magica: Olive oil tasting, Goat farm experience, Visit to National Park Brijuni, trip to hill-top Motovun, a visit to cliffs: Rt Kamenjak – Premantura.

• Transportation to and from Pula airport: Pick-up and drop-off from Pula airport only is included. Please contact us if you are planning on arriving to another airport.

• Transportation to activities, including optional ones (if done with group)

As you plan your trip here are a couple things to note:

• We HIGHLY RECOMMEND consulting us before organizing travel arrangements and purchasing flights as we will advise according to the retreat schedule and local experience. The organizers of this trip are me, and Maria (from Purple Aura), a local coordinator, who is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We are here for you, please reach out to us at any time, that is exactly what we are here for. The trip includes airport pick up and drop off from the Pula Airport (only! If landing in another airport, we will organize transportation to you at your own cost). 

• As with any travel, I recommend buying trip insurance.  

•  All levels of practitioners are welcome; however, a reasonable level experience with yoga is assumed.

• A $950 non-refundable deposit secures your spot. 

• All payments are non-refundable.

• Unforeseen circumstances may require us to change activities, however, we will do our very best to keep the schedule as is, or replace an offering with another of similar interest and value.

Meet Your Retreat Leader:

Yuval Samburski

Sound Healer, Yoga Instructor, Teacher Trainer and Mentor, E-500RYT, YACEP and Reiki level 2.

Yuval is Lead-Faculty at Kripalu Center For Yoga & Health in the Berkshires. He has been creating and leading programs, retreats and teacher trainings all around the world since 2014 (notable are India, Israel, England, Nicaragua and Panama).

Yuval began his teaching career in 2012 (Yogaworks, NYC) and in 2015 became a teacher trainer (200HR & 300HR). He led trainings in China, New York, NY, Boston, MA,  and Memphis, TN.

Yuval is best known for his deep, soulful chanting and signature Live-Music Sound Healing sessions as well Vinyasa Flow classes, Pranayama teachings and Restorative work (he is known to cast deep-healing spells on his students).

Yuval’s teaching style is mindful and fluid, linking all movement back to the breath and providing a safe and warm environment for students to explore their own selves, making their own self-discoveries through practice.

With experience in performance and art, Yuval is inspired by all creation and the undeniable power of breath and meditation. His teaching is personal, nurturing and humorous, allowing for self-observation and a true teaching and learning experience between him and his students.
