This exciting and enriching 8-day cultural and continuing education experience explores Ghanaian history, culture, and social welfare. The perfect balance of educational and experiential learning activities, participants will visit significant landmarks; engage in stimulating discussions and networking opportunities with local professionals; complete noteworthy workshops focusing on mental health, cultural competency, historical and secondary trauma, and self-care; and explore approaches to address well-being on a global and local level. This continuing education experience is ideal for social work practitioners, educators, policy makers, other helping professionals. Companions/friends welcome! *28 Social work CEs pending approval. Shared double room option (both full social work program participants only). Must identify roommate's name one month prior to departure or payee responsible for paying full single occupancy rate. Rate only available until January 31, 2020. Note: roommate much register separately, and will only be afforded discounted rate if registered by said early bird offer end date. Please note shared occupancy cannot add-on additional companions.
