Day tour to Giraffe Centre, Elephant Project and Nairobi National par

Spend the day with us visiting the Giraffe Centre, David Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary and the Nairobi National Park.

Day tour to Giraffe Centre, Elephant Project  and Nairobi National park

After a pick up from your hotel, the tour begins with a visit to the giraffe center. Here you see the magnificent creatures and learn why they are endangered. you will also learn their behaviors, traits and more conservation education. To cap the visit, you get the chance to feed them and maybe get a giraffe kiss.

Then head to the elephant orphanage which is only open for a short period each day from 11:00 am to 12:00. Here you will learn more about the baby elephants and what led them to be orphans. You will get more information on raising them and the efforts being made to re-introduce them back to the wilderness.

After this, you will have about an hour for lunch (own expense), then you will go to the Nairobi National park through the main gate for a 3 hour game drive. Your guide will be aiming to show you as much variety of animals as possible. If you're lucky, you may spot the rhinos and lions getting ready for the evening.

At around 5pm, you will depart the park and be brought back to your  hotel.

The tour Guide, Benjamin, was excellent. He was right on time to pick us up from our hotel at 5am. He explained the trip itinerary, and got us to the park gate by 8:25am after a brief stop for breakfast. He helped us spot animals, particularly lions-he was so good at seeing them with the naked eye in the brush, even when we had trouble using binoculars (LOL). He was very patient till we saw them, lending us his more powerful binoculars if necessary. We sow pairs of lions in 3-4 different settings; herds of elephants, a herd of buffalo, giraffes, several zebras, a hippo, monkeys, and several antelopes/gazelles. We stopped for lunch at an elephant watering hole where we ate while watching the elephants; we finally left the park at 3pm, and got back to our hotel at about 7. We had an enjoyable safari. we highly recommend Benjamin.
