What is the Lucid Body Technique?

The Lucid Body is a psycho-physical process that offers the fundamental building blocks of a new language, a new insight into the complexities of the human. We are ultimately offering the student a way to embody the different parts of self with a deep visceral truth to enhance self-expansion. You do not have to be an actor to take this course. It is for anyone with a wide curiosity to go beyond the confinements we find ourselves in. This is the time and space to shed and spread, break out and believe in change.

I've never taken an LB class before. Is this retreat for me?

Yes. You will learn the fundamentals of the process, which we will apply to your creative devising work. This workshop is about creating from the body and listening to the voices that need to be heard in an environment that is wild and uncensored.

What should I expect from the LB classes during the retreat?

There will be a physical warm-up and exercises that will bring parts of self to the surface during every class. The child, the Warrior, the Schemer, all these archetypes and shadows will be explored thru the lens of the chakra energy centers. Then you will each have time to carve these voices into an arc of text and movement to be shared with others. The personal moves to the universal, as we allow our discoveries to have a voice.

Do I need to prepare or memorize anything?

No.

Encanta la Vida is a stunning and Eco-Friendly Retreat Center in the Corcovado nationa rainforest offering a safe space to unwind, unplug, and expore. 

Awake and fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest in your cabina, each unique in it’s own but equally enchanting. Follow an exotic jungle trail that weaves through the cacao and mango trees, leading you to one of the most gorgeous two-story yoga decks in the world where we will spend our time diving deep into our work. 

Fresh, locally grown and health conscious, all meals are a part of your stay including delicious 3 course dinners. Any dietary restriction will be gladly accepted without hesitation by the talented retreat Chef and your taste buds will not be disappointed!

Travel

1. Fly into San Jose International Airport, Costa Rica (SJO)

2. Take a charter plane to Puerto Jimenez, Costa Rica (40-45 mins)

3. A taxi will be waiting for you to take you to the Retreat Center (45-50 mins) (Taxi to/from lodge from the Puerto Jimenez airport is included)

Tips:

- Look up flights under a 'private browser' to prevent mysterious price increases

- Reasonable RT flights to Costa Rica from San Francisco are around $300-500.

- Charter Plane flights range from $100 and up

1.  $500 non-refundable deposit upon registration

2. Dec 15th, 2023 - 25% of the balance due

3. Feb 15th, 2023 - 50% of the balance due 

4. May 15th, 2023 - 100% balance due 

Withdrawal/Cancellation

- AFTER Feb 15th, 2023 -  50% of current funds paid returned, minus $500 deposit. 

- AFTER May 15th, 2023 - No refunds

• Are U.S. citizens permitted to enter?  Yes
  • U.S. citizens from all 50 states and Washington, D.C. can enter Costa Rica via air on flights departing from the United States.
  • U.S. citizens from all 50 states and Washington, D.C. can enter Costa Rica via designated land border crossing sites.
  • Travelers to Costa Rica are not required to show proof of vaccination status or proof of a medical insurance policy to cover COVID-19 related illness.
  • Costa Rican immigration officials have sole authority to determine the length of stay for tourists entering Costa Rica.  Tourists seeking to extend their stay beyond the date indicated by immigration officials must contact the Directorate General for Migration.  More information can be found at this link.  Tourists are not able to extend their stay in Costa Rica beyond 90 days. 
    
• U.S. tourists must also have a valid passport and proof of intent to exit Costa Rica within 90 days.  (To prove intent to exit, U.S. citizens must possess a return ticket or a ticket as proof of when they intend to exit the country, commonly referred to as an outbound exit or onward ticket).
