For 7 days in Tanzania, we have created a special package for your Safari trip to Tanzania.

The package has include Nothern Tanzania National park the Tarangire National Park together with Mkomazi National Park. Mkomazi is vital refuge for two highly endangered species, the charismatic Black Rhino and sociable African wild dog.

The Mkomazi National Park is a spectacular wilderness. Within sight to the northwest is Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest summit. To the south, the Pare and Usambara Mountains form a dramatic backdrop and, to the north, Kenya’s vast Tsavo National Park shares a border with Mkomazi, making common ground for migratory herds of elephant, oryx and zebra during the wet season. It forms one of the largest and most important protected ecosystems on earth.

Arusha to Mkomazi National Park
After breakfast drive to Mkomazi National Park. Mkomazi National Park is a magnificent, 3,245 square kilometer national park in northern Tanzania. The name was derived from Pare tribe’s word for “scoop of water” meaning little water as the area is too dry especially during the dry season, Mkomazi is vital refuge for two highly endangered species, the charismatic Black Rhino and sociable African wild dog. Full day game drive - Mkomazi National Park
After breakfast, enjoy the day inside Mkomazi, explore the nature and its beauty, the animals, Giraffe, oryx, gerenuk, hartebeest, lesser kudu, eland, impala and Grant’s gazelle share the reserve with elephant, buffalo, and numerous predators, including lion, leopard and cheetah.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast in your hotel (Arusha), you will be picked by our driver/guide at 07:30AM (with packed lunch) and depart for Tarangire National Park for game drive. Before leaving Arusha Town, you will have one stop for any last minute purchases before heading to Tarangire (130 KMs). The driving takes 1.5-2 hours to reach the park’s entrance gate. Tarangire is famous for its huge Baobab trees & large elephant population, you may expect to spot heads of buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, baboons, many antelopes & the giant African elephant. For bird watchers Tarangire is the place, over 400 bird species have been recorded in the park which includes the rare species of Ash Staling and rollers. Predators like lion, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals & the ever-mysterious leopard are also inhabiting this park. Tarangire Park forms the central annual migratory cycle within Tarangire-Lake Manyara ecosystem which include up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and about 30,000 zebras. In the late afternoon drive to Sangaiwe Tented Lodge (https://sangaiwe.com/) for sunset watch, dinner & overnight. The lodge is inside the park.

Full Day Game Drive Tarangire National Park.
Enjoy a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire River is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire ecosystem during the annual dry season. During the dry season thousands of animals concentrate in Tarangire National Park from the surrounding wet-season dispersal and calving areas.

I recently got back from an awesome trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar with Lendimi African Safari’s. This was a trip of a lifetime. Our guides Ima and PJ were extremely knowledgable. The trip was well planned, all logistics figured out with upscale accommodations booked in advance. Lendimi is a family run business which gives a more personable feel to this African adventure. There were many high lites during our trip, but one of the best was visiting the Lendimi’s family community near Arusha for a community feast and tree planting activity. My wife and I have travelled extensively and I cannot stress enough at how impressed and happy we were with Lendimi’s African Safari. You can’t go wrong with this family owned business.

This was a fabulous trip! I felt very lucky to have been invited to go with Lendimi on this once in a lifetime adventure. All of our accommodations were great, the experiences amazing, but most of all the Lendimi staff and guides were exceptional. They were very knowledgeable, flexible and were clearly interested in helping us make the most of our trip. We felt like family in their care. The safari was spectacular and the cultural experiences and visits to the villages were really impactful. Thank you for making this a wonderful experience! PJ and Ima as our guides and the Lendimi support team provided a lifetime memorable trip. The guides knew every detail about the animals, birds, flora, seasons, geology, the cultures ( tribal and modern) that no question was left unanswered. We had moments with lions, giraffes,, and elephants that were close up and immediate; yet were dwarfed by the horizon to horizon view of the great migration of zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and antelopes. They have a strong eco sensitivity. The support team had us in great lodges and camps. And working with a locally owned company made us feel like we left a positive footprint in the community.

This trip far exceeded my expectations. Our Lendimi guide was knowledgable about the wildlife, plants and the conservation efforts of Tanzania. There wasn't a question asked that he didn't give an in depth answer for. WOW! In addition to seeing an abundance of wildlife, we were immersed in the culture. We visited a farm, a Maasai village, and the village of Seela. We were even honored to visit and spend time at a school! The beautiful people in every location embraced and welcomed us. Our accommodations were varied and always beautiful. Overall, the staff at Lendimi made this a trip of a lifetime! Thank you, Lendimi African Safaris, for an outstanding experience!

This was an experience of a lifetime! We were able to observe animals in their own habitat, how they interacted with each other, and saw a variety of manuals and birds. The lodgings were first class, the food was reflective of the culture and excellent, and the people were friendly and willing to share their heritage. It was more than experiencing the animals: this was an opportunity to learn about a new culture in a respectful manner!
