After a delightful breakfast, we'll embark on a captivating city tour of Dakar, checking out the contrasts between upscale neighborhoods and local hotspots like the Soumbedioune market. We'll explore the fascinating Renaissance Monument and delve into Senegal's rich history at the Museum of African Civilization. In the afternoon, a ferry ride takes us to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Gorée Island, where pastel-colored buildings and the historic House of Slaves await.

Following breakfast, we'll head to St. Louis, the colonial capital of northern Senegal where we'll explore narrow streets adorned with carved wooden balconies and visit the vibrant fishing village of Get Ndar. Hotel Diamrek or similar hotel will welcome us for an overnight stay with breakfast and dinner included. 

Start our day with breakfast, followed by a drive to Djoudj Birds Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience a thrilling motorized canoe tour amidst thousands of birds and hundreds of species and then retire for the night at Hotel Diamrek, or similar hotel, enjoying breakfast and dinner.

After breakfast, we journey to the Holy City of Touba, home to the Grand Mosque, West Africa's largest and most magnificent. Here we'll learn about Cheickh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacke, the founder of Mouridism Brotherhood. In the afternoon, explore the local market in Kaolack. Overnight at Hotel Le Relais, or similar hotel, with breakfast and dinner.

We'll cross the border into The Gambia after breakfast and visit Juffurey, the ancestral village of Alex Haley of "Roots" fame, Then we'll explore James Island's historical ruins. Later we head to Banjul for an overnight stay at Senegambia Hotel, or similar hotel, with breakfast and dinner included.

Today we discover the sacred Cachikally Crocodile Pool and explore the bustling Albert Market in Bakau. Next, we visit the museum showcasing Gambia's history, then we'll enjoy a free half day at Senegambia Beach. Overnight at Senegambia Hotel, or similar hotel, with breakfast and dinner.

We take the ferry to Barra, then journey back to Senegal. On arrival at Toubacouta in the Sine Saloum Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage site, we'll have a chance to enjoy a boat trip through mangroves and visit Sipo Village, known for its Mandingo and Serere communities. Overnight at Hotel Keur Saloum, or similar hotel, with breakfast and dinner. 

Today we explore the twin villages of Joal/Fadiouth, witness the unique mixed cemetery, and visit the vibrant fishing port of Mbour. we wind down the day at Royam Hotel, or similar hotel, with a breathtaking ocean sunset. Meals include breakfast and dinner.

We have a busy day before we leave senegal, beginning with a thrilling safari at Bandia National Park, home to diverse wildlife where we encounter crocodiles, antelopes, rhinos, and more. We will also visit a special baobab tree and the tomb of the griots and conclude our journey with lunch at the park and a convenient airport drop-off.
