About this trip

DISCOVERING SANTIAGO: HALF-DAY PANORAMIC CITY TOUR WITH SAN CRISTOBAL HILL OR SKY COSTANERA

On this tour, you'll uncover the captivating blend of old colonial charm and modern architecture that makes Santiago one of South America's most intriguing cities. We'll pick you up from your hotel and guide you through the city's historic and contemporary areas.

Our journey begins at the "Plaza de Armas," the central square nestled in Santiago's historic colonial district. Established atop an Inca settlement, this square features notable landmarks such as the magnificent 18th-century Metropolitan Cathedral, the Royal Court Palace (now The Chilean National History Museum), built in the early 19th century, and the Central Post Office completed in 1882.

Next, we'll visit the Government Palace, where you can stroll through Constitution Square, adorned with statues of numerous former Chilean presidents. Following this, we'll ascend San Cristobal Hill. Rising 880 meters (2,640 feet) above the city, it stands as Santiago's second-highest natural point, offering panoramic views of the entire cityscape. You can reach the summit of the hill via Santiago's cable car (teleférico), from where you can admire the iconic statue of the Virgin Mary and take in breathtaking vistas of Santiago.

The Metropolitan Park of Santiago, covering over 700 hectares, is the city's largest green area and ranks as the fourth-largest urban park globally, as well as the largest in Latin America.

If weather conditions do not permit a visit to San Cristobal Hill,  we will visit another historical and tourist landmarks of the city instead. After this experience, we will return to your hotel.

Our last Stop before return to the hotels will be Costanera Comercial Center, for those who want to extend the tour and visit Sky Costanera. The Mirador Sky Costanera offers a unique experience in Latin America, where you can enjoy views of the Andes Mountains and iconic Santiago landmarks from an entirely new perspective. This is optional and complementary visit with extra fee, that you can add this to your shopping cart before payment, or if you prefer you can buy your ticket directly at the box office the same day.

Please notice that if you visit Sky Costanera you must return to your hotel by yourself, it takes 10 minutes to get to Las Condes (hotels's area) from there by taxi.
