The Dolomites are a Disneyland for walkers and those who love beautiful alpine views. In 2009 U.N.E.S.C.O. declared the Dolomites “the world’s most beautiful natural architecture” and awarded it a World Heritage Nature Site – the same year that award winning walking guide Gary Scott fell in love with the beauty and charm of the Dolomites.
Our goal on this tour is for you to see the best of the Dolomites of South Tyrol while doing a lot of great walks, enjoying great local food and wine and while having some time to explore and relax on your own in a beautiful Tyrolean village. There are walks for any level of experience and fitness and Gary is an expert at matching the right walk to you. You don’t need to be a “hiker” or a mountain goat to enjoy these walks. We use the extensive cable car system and so avoid big ascents and descents and we avoid big scary drops and steep trails - we'll find the "right path" for you and the group.
Dolomites Walking Tour
After a brief meet and greet we'll head off for a one hour drive in our very comfortable nine seater van to our trailhead and our first hike up an easy valley in Val Gardena and enjoy a picnic lunch. Then onto our host hotel in the heart of the Dolomites in Alta Badia.
