9:30 - After breakfast, meet at the hotel with your local guide and driver. 

Head to the Equator or Latitude 0, located 22 km north of Quito.

In the beginning, you will immerse yourself in the history of the ancient pre-Inca civilizations who inhabited this region long before the Europeans came here.  

You will find out why the Equator was considered a sacred place. And you will have a chance to make your experiments and observe unique physical phenomena that can only be seen at Latitude 0.  Learn the scientific explanation for these phenomena.

Then we will proceed to explore the colonial streets and highlights of Oldtown Quito, which UNESCO recognizes as a world cultural heritage. 

Drive up to the "Panecillo de St. Virgen", a remarkable hill in the middle of OldTown.

Return to hotel around 4 PM.

Quito altitude - 2850m

9 AM - After breakfast, meet with the guide and drive around 2 hours along the Pan-American Highway on the segment of the Andean Volcanic range called  "Avenue of the Volcanoes".  The "Avenue of Volcanoes"  stretches north to south in the central Sierra region of Ecuador and has over 50 volcanoes on its territory. 

On a clear day, you will see a few of them on the way to Cotopaxi National Park, including the iconic Cotopaxi, the active volcano that erupts every 75 years and last time erupted in 2015. 

Take an easy hike around the Limpiopungo Lake to enjoy the views of the  Cotopaxi giant. Then, drive to a historic colonial-style hacienda house located on the outskirts of Cotopaxi. Here you can have a homemade traditional lunch and take optional activities such as horseback riding.

Back to your hotel around 5 PM.

7:00AM - Pick up & transfer to the airport (45min-1h)

9:30 AM - Departure to Coca.

Today your journey starts with a 42-minute flight from Quito to Coca. 

Meet with eco-lodge staff at the airport. Drive to the banks of the Napo River. 

Boarding for a 2,5h boat trip on the largest Ecuadorian affluent of the Amazon, the Napo River. 

During the journey you get a taste of the Amazon; ancestral communities, birds, and nature. The professional staff of the eco-lodge will welcome you on arrival and check you in.

Late afternoon, you will take a short walk on the nearby trails or a canoe ride with many chances to observe primates, Amazonian birds, black caimans, and a close encounter with the amazing flora represented by cedar trees, orchids, and bromeliads. 

Back to the lodge, where our chef will be happy to offer a wide variety of national and international cuisine that caters also to vegetarians and vegans.

Then, you will have a briefing with your naturalist guide about the Amazon Rainforest and the plan of activities for the following days, while you enjoy welcome drinks.

After breakfast served at the lodge, experience the life on the tree tops from the observation tower (118 ft high).  To get there, your leaders will paddle on the Challuacocha Lake for 30 minutes, followed by a short 10-minute walk. 

Over 565 species of birds have been registered so far, including colorful birds such as macaws, toucans, honeycreepers, tanagers, flycatchers, hummingbirds, and with a bit of luck a close view of howlers, squirrel monkeys, or sloths resting on the canopy. 

The tower gives you a unique perspective, opening up a whole new world of Amazon biodiversity that is often difficult and almost impossible to see from the understory. 

After lunch continue exploring the nearby trails searching for more Amazonian creatures walking through the Chorongo trail that have up to 5 hours of duration in the deep tropical rainforest. 

In the afternoon you will go back to the lodge for dinner

Overnight in rustic-style cabins

After breakfast, you will go to Napo River to take the canoe to Sani Isla Community Center. Here you can learn how the community lives in harmony with the Amazon Rainforest. You will learn about their customs, drinks, food, and Kichwa culture, learn how local life is environmentally sustainable. 

Lunch will be served in the community and you will taste the traditional food of the area, then get ready to play with the blowgun, an ancient Kichwa tradition of hunting, and learn how to make artisan chocolate with the women of the community.

In the afternoon you’ll Kayak in Napo river, from the Community to the main port of Sani Lodge.

After dinner take a night walk to see jungle insects, spiders, snakes, and frogs!

Early breakfast & check out from the lodge. 

Head back to the Napo River to board the boat and visit the parrot's wall at Yasuní National Park for a wonderful view of hundreds of parrots searching for a gap to land and eat the earth in the process of their digestion. Here you will see Mealy Amazon, Yellow-crowned, Orange-winged, and Blue-headed parrots. 

10:30 AM - flight back to Quito, arrival at 11:05 AM.  Your local guide will be waiting for you at the airport.

After approximately a 40-minute drive, we arrive at thermal springs, heated by the volcano. In the ancient times of the Inca Empire, there was a certain rehabilitation center for warriors. Indeed, the healing water of Papallacta contains many mineral components, relieves joint pain, has a healing effect, and promotes rejuvenation.  Take a dip into the pools of different water temperatures, Time to relax.

Back to the airport and stay at a hotel near the airport for tomorrow's convenient commute to your departure to the Galapagos.

Today's Altitude - 3400m

Morning departure to Galapagos, San Cristobal island (all flights to this island operate with a 40-minute stopover in Guayaquil).

On arrival, after going through passport control, you will be picked up at the airport by your private local guide, and he will take you to the hotel to check-in. 

After lunch, visit the Interpretation Center, where you can learn about the formation, colonization, and actual condition of the Galapagos.

Then you will follow the trail to a viewpoint from which you have a beautiful view over the island. You will snorkel the shallow waters of the bay and the isolated beach (according to the tide your guide will take you to the best spot), where you can see sea lions, various tropical fishes, and turtles. Your  short hike will finish at Carola Beach from where you will walk back to the hotel and have the evening free.

Altitude of Galapagos - 0-900m.

Every day at the Galapagos is different, so let nature surprise you.! 

Our rep will pick you up from the hotel in the morning and take you to the wharf. 

You will board a speedboat and navigate approximately 45 minutes to the famous Kicker Rock (aka Sleeping sea lion), an impressive volcanic formation amid the ocean. 

There you have a chance to snorkel with Galapagos sharks (not dangerous to humans), rays, turtles, and, if you are lucky, even hammerhead sharks! 

The wall of the rock itself is amazing with lots of tropical fishes, starfishes, corals.. The boat also takes you to a beautiful, pristine beach, where you will have time to relax and swim. you will be back in the mid-afternoon. 

Back to hotel. The rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure.

Today, explore Lobos Island on the half-day tour. 

This islet is 30 minutes away from the port by boat. First, we will walk for approx. one hour to spot blue-footed boobies and frigate birds. We can also see marine iguanas and sea lions. 

After the walk, we will get ready for a snorkeling session. The snorkeling takes place along the island in shallow water. We can spot usually turtles, tropical fishes, and playful baby sea lions. Our last stop will be Ochoa Beach. It’s a beautiful beach where we will stay a bit to enjoy before we go back to the port in the afternoon.

The rest of the afternoon is free, you can enjoy your own time - relax, have a drink at sunset, or enjoy the nearby beaches on a bike.

In the morning we will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to the local airport, where you will do your check-in for the jet flight to Isabela (~40 min). 

On arrival in Isabela, your naturalist guide will be waiting for you. 

You will start exploring Isabela on foot, walking to the giant Sierra Negra volcano crater. Sierra Negra has the second-largest active crater in the world, which is 10km in diameter.  The altitude of the crater is about 1200m. The hike is mild, about 1h30min  one way, doable for any level of fitness.

Lunch will be served on a local farm, which is also a tortoise reserve. 

Then you will check in at your charming hotel located on a pristine beach.

Relaxing morning.

Spend free time at the white-sand beach, or snorkel at the lagoon where sea lions pups love to play, or you can also easily walk or bike to the  flamingo lagoon and continue exploring Isabela island on your own.

In the afternoon we offer you 2 different activities to choose from:

1. A kayak or “Stand Up Paddle” tour in the bay. Exploring the bay this way is nice because you can smoothly spot wildlife, without the noise of a boat motor. You may spot during this tour sea lions, pelicans, maybe spot rays and turtles near the kayak.
2. A boat tour to the small islet near the port is interesting as you can spot marine iguanas usually and sometimes sharks in a small water channel that you can see from the islet. this tour also includes a snorkeling session, in shallow water where you can usually see tortoises and different kinds of tropical fishes.

Evening free. Sunsets can be pretty amazing on Isabela!

Take a shared mini-jet flight to Santa Cruz in the morning.

Arrive at the airport of Baltra, and check in for your connecting flight back to Quito.

In the early afternoon - departure to Quito,, self-transfer to hotel near the airport on arrival & overnight.
