This day trip to Edfu and Kom Ombo from Luxor is one of the beautiful experiences in Upper Egypt where you will visit Horus Temple in Edfu and the Double Temple in Kom Ombo with the Crocodile Museum.

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Luxor and you will drive in a private air-conditioned vehicle with your expert guide about 100 km parallel to the Nile Valley to Edfu to visit the best-preserved Temple of Horus (Falcon God). According to ancient Egyptian myths, Edfu was the place where Seth murdered his brother Osiris. The Ptolemaic Temple of Horus at Edfu, considered one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, was built over approximately 180 years from 237 to 57 BC. Built from sandstone.

Then continue the 60 km drive to Kom Ombo to visit the double temple of the gods Haroeris & Sobek. In Kom Ombo you will also visit a Crocodile Museum on the banks of the Nile , which deals with the worship of the deity Sobek and the closely related mummification of crocodiles . It is considered the world’s largest museum dedicated to an animal.

After this interesting cultural experience, you will drive back to Luxor from Kom Ombo.
