Our day starts with a delicious breakfast as we gather for an introduction and orientation. A perfect time to get acquainted with your fellow travellers.

Then, it’s off to explore Asakusa and the Tokyo Skytree area. As we delve into the streets of Asakusa, we’ll do some traditional sightseeing and shop at the Ameyoko market.  The day wouldn’t be complete without wandering the grounds of the historical Sensoji temple; it’s a vibe and full experience. Get that camera or phone ready and prepare to capture some iconic shots.

Afterwards, we’ll hop on the water for a cruise to Odaiba City (which has its own miniature Statue of Liberty — fun fact). We’ll walk along the promenade and enjoy lunch in the Odaiba City dining and shopping district. 

At dusk, we’ll experience an exhilarating sunset at the Tokyo Met Building. The lights of the Tokyo skyline are waiting, and boy, are they breathtaking. Then we’ll enjoy dinner in Shinjuku in the Kabukicho Red Light District.

Perhaps you’ll decide to spend the evening enjoying the club scene. The choice is yours! 

We have another incredible day planned for you in the surrounding areas of Tokyo. Best fuel up as we’ll be going on some walking tours around the city.

Today we’ll experience epic sights, perfect for those bucket list photos, as we hit up the best spots to view the autumn leaves. Then we’ll take a Takeshita Street tour in the Harajuku District (get your stomach ready for crêpes!). Afterwards, we’ll head to Tokyo plaza for additional incredible views.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to the world-famous Shibuya district to grab some grub at the Shibuya Food court. Then we’ll try our hands at crossing the busiest pedestrian crosswalk in the world — aptly called the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Afterwards, we’ll gather to experience a Sushi cooking course. It’ll be a night to remember! 

The next morning, we’ll take breakfast to-go and hop on the Shinkansen to the iconic Kyoto, the traditional heart of Japan. We’ll stay in the downtown part of the city close to the Nishiki market. Are you ready for an amazing few days?

After dropping off our bags at the hotel and winding down over lunch, we’ll hop on a commuter train to the city of Nara — which was the ancient capital of Japan before Kyoto.

Nara is filled with incredible sights; because of its history as the ancient capital, Nara is filled with some of the most awe-inspiring temples and shrines. But that’s not even the best part. The best part? The “Nara Deer” that roam around the city. They’re the cutest!

You’ll have your choice of where to eat for dinner in Nara and then we’ll head back up to Kyoto. What a day!

Back in Kyoto, we’ll be delving into two quintessential Japanese traditions: the Tea Ceremony and the Way of the Samurai.

During the tea ceremony, you’ll be able wear a kimono and experience the highly-ritualistic tradition of a Japanese Tea Ceremony (any matcha lovers here?). After the ceremony, we’ll gather in the tranquil garden courtyard for a themed-photoshoot in our kimonos.

Afterwards, get your katanas and shuriken ready! We’ll head over to the Samurai Ninja Museum to learn some history behind Japan’s samurai feudal system. After catching up on your Japanese history, you’ll get the opportunity to practice Shuriken-throwing (for any Naruto fans out there, pretend like you’re Sasuke Uchiha) and then dress up in samurai armor for a photo opp.

We’ll break for lunch at Kyoto’s famous Nishiki Market. 

After lunch, we’ll head over to the historic entertainment district of Gion where you may get the rare sighting of a Geisha strolling in the streets. As you walk around and take in the historical spirit of Japan, you can pop into cafés and boutiques.

The rest of the day is yours for the taking!

Get “spirited away” as we visit two of Kyoto’s most popular outdoor sites: Fushimi Inari and Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.

We’ll get up bright and early to visit Fushimi Inari in order to beat the crowds. Take in the magnificent sight of the red and black torii gates as you ascend the sacred Inariyama mountain. Come camera-ready because we’ll have another creative session here. 

We’ll make a stop back at the hotel for breakfast and some downtime to recover from the early start to the day.

Afterwards, we’ll head to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. You’ll feel like you stepped into a different world. 

We’ll grub on some lunch and the rest of the day is yours. Feel free to check out some of Kyoto’s world-class museums, temples, or swing by the Kyoto Tower. Or, take the time to rest if you feel so inclined. 

Osaka – the third largest city in Japan. A unique vibe to Tokyo and Kyoto, Osaka is known for its vibrant nightlife, and incredible food scene. Our amazing local creative explorer will show us the ins and outs of this lively city as we bask in the rich history.

We’ll visit the Osaka Castle, visit the Minami Shopping and Dining District ,take a break to recharge, and then eat our way through the Dotonbori Street Food tour. But wait, the day’s not done — then it’ll be time to party! Sake and ramen anyone?

We’ll finish our time in Osaka with a traditional Japanese breakfast and then head back to Tokyo. With Free Time for the rest of the day, you can choose to indulge in some of the cool activities that Tokyo has to offer. Super Mario Kart or teamLab, perhaps? Or maybe you’ll fancy checking out anime figurines in Akiharaba or shopping in Ginza.

Or — it can be the perfect day to chill before starting the journey back home!

That night, we will have our final group dinner together.

After breakfast, we’ll make sure you get transferred to your respective airport to start your journey home. Sayonara, Japan — until next time!
